Te raspas un poco la ropa con el filo plano de un cuchillo si no llevas mechas, algodón, etc... y la borra textil que queda, ese montoncito de pelos de algodón, nylon, etx... se enciende como gasolina con solo darle una vez con el ferrocerio. Lo importante es tener un puñado de paja, hierbajos secos y otro con un poco de ramitas finas preparado.

Wonderful! - a real informative video on how to use this! - on a personal level I am still trying to get the wick to light, but never mind it could happen any day now! ps: its certainly building my arm muscles up...

Just got one from Amazon: but this video is rubbish as it took me a few minutes to work out you have to get the black paint off the rod first before you can get a spark but so far, got sparks but have yet to get the wick to light but will give it another try at the weekend when I have a few hours to spare to mess about - my neighbour tried but gave up as he thought it was a joke. Bottom line being a decent video that EXPLAINS the process would help instead of the crappy rubbish that passes for background music :)

Those strikers are rubbish but the rest of that kit looks alright. The striker makes all the difference. The difference between a lit fire or a pile of sticks.
