This video describes how to do a German cast on and jogless join in the round. This cast on and the join is used in a few of my hat patterns. It is a nice stretchy way to cast on your knitting projects socks included. It is just as stretchy as your fabric that is knit. This can be used on my "Stripes~The Hat" pattern. Happy Knitting Everyone, ENJOY!!! www.yycknits.com

The Real Magic of Magic Loop...

In this video, I show you how to cast on to work two at a time in magic loop. As a bonus, due to a mistake I had made casting on for my other mittens yesterday... It was revealed to me that you can work in magic loop counter clockwise and knit your garment inside out and backwards... The benefit of this backwards or counterclockwise knitting is that you can knit every stitch and end up with a l...
Turkish Cast On - Part 1

Here I talk a bit of socks, my own kettledyed yarn in my favorite colourway and how I do the "Turkish Cast On." More of a "come hang out and knit with me" than a tutorial but here's hoping the cast on is simple to follow, clear and concise:-) I start my second sock pattern by my favorite sock knitter Wendy D. Johnson these are her "Diagonal Lace Socks" that are deserving of a way fancier name t...

    Could use not only several repeats at a slower pace, but also some clarity about how the yarn is wound around your fingers. I can figure it out with multiple rewinds but please don’t make me work so hard.

    This CO has become my go-to start. So much so, that doing it any other way is a struggle and seems wrong. The only time I do another is the Italian 1x1 CO which is great for brioche especially.

    I seem to be getting two stitches each time. You went a bit fast after the first example. I feel complete uncoordinated. But will persist with it. Once you get going you sure go fast. Learners are slow snails.

    Please forgive me if this is a very stupid question, but the "live stitches" we later pick up, are they the little purl dashes in the waste yarn we used to knit our first row?

    • @voyager9028
      @voyager9028 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the waste yarn is discarded, and the live stitches are the ones that you pulled through the "purl dashes."
