@@RobbReeves thank you for an awesome response. The event is based on 80 ground miles, split in two loops. 1 morning, one afternoon. There's not supposed to be any "technical" areas, but in NJ we have a lot of sugar sand, and large whoops mixed in with some beautiful pine forest single track. Because I've never raced, I had to register in C class. Based off of footage I watch, I believe I would be at the higher skill level of that class, if not out of it. Because it's a time keeping event, I think that will allow me to slow way down... maybe to 60-70% pace, and still be in line with my class time goals. In the end, I'm really just looking to have a fun day of riding and dip my toe into the "competition " side of things 👍👍

@@Efabulous22 Man, I envy you. They got rid of our timekeepers in this area years ago. All we have is sprint and restart formats in Blackjack. Are you running a computer? How will you keep time, if you do? If it's a timekeeper, yeah, endurance and not screwing up is the key. Post something after the race. Will be interested in how you do. Sounds like you are very prepared. You will have a blast!

@@RobbReeves the beta dash has a timer function but I'm also told there's an app guys use. Official time is done by a transponder on your helmet. I plan on getting there early to see what some methods are, and I'm also hoping to have an experienced time keeper in our starting 4. Video footage is unfortunately restricted, but i will at the very least do a before and after race video

It's a really fun bike. 240ish lbs wet. It's on the 125 frame so it's slightly undersized but easy to throw around. Doesn't quite have the power i would want, but it's snappy. The kyb suspension is killer.

@Efabulous22 yea it definitely looks light. I weigh as much as that bike. That 125 frame would probably be small for me though lol my son's yz 125 feels like a toy.
