Band of Brothers Filming Locations - Return to Ayot, D-Day Ambush Bridge, Crossroads & Town
มุมมอง 9Kปีที่แล้ว
Returning to Ayot for the second time, we also visit the locations for the D-Day Ambush Bridge, Crossroads and the Town areas at Hatfield. Memories fade, so while we have made every effort to be at accurate as possible using satellite imagery and GPS data, some mistakes may have been made and I'll be more than happy to be contacted and corrected so I can make those corrections in future videos....

Band of Brothers Filming Location - Now & Then
มุมมอง 2Kปีที่แล้ว
A short video highlighting the filming location for the counter attack battle as seen in Episode 3 - Carentan. Nearly 23 years separates the photos shown and my memory, so please be mindful that this video was made with reasonable `guestimates`.

    Hey, just wanted to say great content. I grew up in Hatfield and absolutely love Band of Brothers. I even sneaked on to the film set at Hatfield British Aerospace, that was risky. Anyway love your detail and passion for this.

    Was there for Normandy 80th and made three jumps-- two into Ste Marie Du Mont and one at Graignes. Appreciate the location information. Never made it to that side of Ste Mere Eglise so I will look for it in a couple of years. Thanks for the info! I did read that they filmed the drop inside and Lewis was stationary while they filmed the backdrop using green screen.

    So was the town at the end just a bunch of facades?

    • @tc-ww8ui
      @tc-ww8ui ปีที่แล้ว

      As I recall, they were a hybrid mix. Some were fully constructed for scenes, the aid station in episode 3 for instance, while others had to be built to be blown up.

      Why's star wars music far use? Don't think the Composer and so on are dead long enough if dead at all. Do you have sources? (It'd be mighty nice to use some well known music, but I'd rather not without some failproof proof, you know?)
