you actually didnt do it correct. it should rush out not seep out. put more downward pressure on as you unscrew the needle even when you feel it want to jump up. then pull back and itll deflate quickly

Years ago I witnessed a rancher trying to jerk a mud stuck harvester with a one ton ranch truck. He had used a chain on the harvester end to a nylon strap on the truck hitch. When the chain broke it rocketed through the tailgate, took the pump off a diesel tender, went through the back window and out the front. He was lucky it didn’t take his head off.
