IBM : The Future Market (RFID)
From their award winning campaign... IBM ebusiness started in the mid-90's when CEO Louis Gerstner had the smarts to see the value in a staff presentation on how the internet might become a useful business-to-business tool. Every one of their commercials and print ads featured ground-breaking business concepts that were mind-blowing then... and are implemented in every modern business today - except one. Check-out this future-concept that would be implemented today if didn't cause so much excitement: "Check out lines. Who needs them?".

The security corporations are serious about not letting anything concerning card readers and such get out. There's a huge backdoor in things like RFID that was cracked open last year I believe. It pretty much grants you a master key and lets you use any keycard to open any lock. The hackers explained it at a big security conference and afterwards were immediately arrested and eventually sued which is unbelievable considering they didn't do anything wrong.

It's not secure, it's there to make our lives easier. We have to be more responsible with this change in technology, like use an RFID blocking wallet. :) Search for the video called "RFID In Plain English" to see the great ways that RFID technology will makes our lives better!

The funny thing about RFID is that it is not a flaw. Technology innovations are something we have to get use to. I don't think Adam Savage is pointing out a flaw. We should build awareness that this change in technology means we have to be more responsible with our information. Search for the video called "RFID In Plain English" to see the great ways that RFID technology will makes our lives better!
