Thanks man- just got power back! We made it out with no apparent damage to the house just some tree and fence shenanigans with the neighbors. Could have been much worse judging by all the sinkholes and flooding the next town over!

The plan is to finish the Dragon Age series and then Veilguard (that releases Oct 31st). I work full time and record on the side so I struggle with juggling more than one game at a time. If you want I can try, but the releases may not be quite as regular as Dragon Age.

Yeah for sure! I always like the extra attention to detail, sometimes it goes overlooked and people either don't notice or kind of take it for granted. But some of us do notice and appreciate the extra effort. The overall experience is greatly impacted by the smaller details imo

BTW, starting next video you should see a notable bump in dialogue volume. Sorry I wasn't able to figure it out before. Also later there will be a recognizable difference in video quality too. I figured out it wasn't my recording settings that were mucking up my video quality, but it was my rendering quality during editing.

Close call lol. I remember playing this game as a complete noob to gaming and not understanding how the stats worked and which gear I was supposed to be wearing. It was much more difficult with me gimping myself haha

I can tell you IRL if you want haha. You technically have played the game before even if it was a long time ago so it may not be a spoiler for you...

Mine too, supposedly they built some of the more common sense tactics into the AI in DA2 and DAI so they could simplify the tactics menu in those games. I'm not so certain tbh 😆

I wish I could write an AI script in the tactics for allies to avoid traps that have been detected or that they themselves detect already. I kept having to tell my party to run back so Leliana would have time to disarm the multiple traps in a row... 😅

Yeah there is plenty in the codex, but the other two games (especially inquisition) really fleshes it out

Alistair's sick burns yo XD There are people that solo this game on nightmare difficulty, but it is very build dependent I think. Lots of Arcane warrior blood mages out there lol

Definitely! I love the companions in all of the games- Morrigan and Alistair's dislike for each other is always quality entertainment... Morrigan is too smart for Alistair, and despite that he can still get under her skin!

😅 Yeah those poor naked men! I 'll keep this series going man. Dragon Age games are a work of art and I've wanted to showcase them for a while now! Also Mass Effect eventually :)

Looks like I fell prey to one of the classic blunders!

They basically gutted and simplified the tactics in the other 2 games (especially in Inquisiton), but the concept of the holy trinity remain the same as well as kiting and using choke points etc. They tried to make the combat feel more in "real time" without quite going all the way. I think they should have done both! They could have made it an option that you could choose between!

Yeah Ive beat this game more than once and still encounter new stuff lol. BTW is the volume better in this video? I did turn it up a tad for this one. If not I will do it again, but you won't notice a change until episode 7ish- I have several vids queued and scheduled for upload..

@@RowanWintersong No thats ok I turned it off too eventually because the armor looked so bad covered in blood all the time. Also If possible can you turn up the game volume a bit? If i turn it up enough to hear easily your voice is a little too loud. If not no biggy lol

Very true! Honestly it's a good microcosm of society in a way. Freedom comes with a fear of the unknown. The more you become used to structure in your life or being taken care of, the more scary freedom becomes.

Thanks! Technically I started a different playthrough but it's save was corrupted just after I entered the Underdark for the first time.

I personaly think it is At least i got to learn a lot about the world and the machanics without having much trouble with the combat. When i re-started on tactician mode i had enough experience to make it a very very satisfactory play when it comes to combat, i was basically destroying every enemy in my way

@@W_Junior Good advice! I jumped in the deep end of the pool and started on Tactician, but I read and researched game mechanics and watched build videos before I played. If you aren't the researching and "plan ahead" type (it didn't take much of it, tbh), then I would definitely recommend starting on Balanced difficulty first.

Tactician difficulty. I was tempted to put it at honor mode at the beginning but I don't like the idea of playing blindly on a single save file. Once I beat the game on Tactician I will probably come back and do an honor mode run.

Trusting perhaps. I tend to think she is just over-confident in her abilities because of Gith propaganda. She seems to genuinely believe in the inferiority of other species so she under estimates the ability of those around her. I'm willing to bet that part of her journey, at least in this "resist" dark urge playthrough, is going to be discovering that she grew up in an echo chamber. I'm curious if an evil playthrough would turn out differently 🤷‍♂

I think they will reveal it a little at a time. That goblin Scaleritas Fell showed up near the end of one of the earlier episodes and gave me the cloak. I have a feeling we will see him again soon
