Not even trippin about the risqué dance moves in this routine. I’m more shocked about the fact that every single cheerleader’s jumps were terrible. Instead of putting so much time into learning a 5 minute long dance with slow transitions, focus on getting the basics down and perform a shorter but clean routine. If you can’t even do the jumps and stunts successfully then the rest of the routine doesn’t even matter. You end up looking like a hot mess

Everybody is saying this dance was provocative. But it’s nothing compared to the dancing at my school 🤷🏼‍♀️

If this school is anything like my school that means pep rally’s are only done by varsity cheer (if they have a JV and a varsity) I’m a JV cheerleader and we can do the exact same if not better stunts, we can tumble which I saw none of and our dances are very skillful we don’t just shake our ass and smile😬 y’all also need to work on your jumps cause oof

This is probably the worst cheer routine I’ve ever seen. they need to work on tumbling and cheering, they’re cheerleaders not strippers.

This is giving me anxiety for my hoco routine

When I’m Seeing routines like this, even if they aren’t the most appropriate sometimes. I get happy, because honestly if the cheerleaders are having fun and a lot the crowd is getting hyped then it’s a successful routine🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻

Wow my cheer coach would kill any of us for even suggesting those moves. You know why? Because she knows we're cheerleaders. Athletes. Would you expect this from any other sport. N O P E. really this is just putting an awful image of cheerleaders in people's heads...

Where are their mothers? My child would have been pulled from this squad immediately. Candy Shop is a song about sex, plain and simple, and "shake that a** girl" really? They are sending the wrong signal here. The coach should have been released of all duties following this "performance"/strip tease. Then people wonder why sexual assault is so high. I am not insinuating this gives the right to anybody to sexually assault these girls and anyone committing it is 100% responsible for his/her own actions. We must admit however, these types of "dances"/strip teases make young boys think "she wanted it." Again, not saying this gives anyone the right to do anything to them whatsoever, but bending over to Candy Shop in front of the entire student body is not becoming of a lady.

Personally as a cheerleader I have always hated the stereotype that people think of cheerleaders as and this routine did not help but that routine did not do many things that cheerleaders should have in their routine like tumbling yeah they had some but most of it was dancing and there wasn’t many stunts either

I go to one of the top high schools in California and yet they still drop down and show some of their buttcheeks. This is nothing great routine though

the choreographers are to blame for this unfortunate routine, who allowed this to be put on at a school.

It’s routines like this that make us cheerleaders look like we’re meant to be provocative entertainers for the school 🤦🏽‍♀️
