How did you get the gear out?
You just lift it out from what I remember. I may had used a flat head screwdriver to lightly work it out.
Excellent job of explaining what you are doing and why. The manual says to put it neutral but doesn't do a good job of explaining it, or maybe I'm kinda slow! Bought a 800 plus used for$2000, WELL used. It seemed like a great deal. Came with auto drive, 4 cross heads fully loaded for 12,20,28& .410. A bunch of shot and powder bushing. Already had a bunch more with the 366. After another $1000 and rebuilding most of it, as it was presented as almost new and only loaded 20 guage! Yeah RIGHT! Getting set up and will load by hand first. The primers feed puts in the slip joint was bent. After adjusting it to feed and set a primer with the auto drive, it jammed in the down stuck and done up and broke the lower carriage. It was a fine spectacle of carnage. But it did give me a chance to become well acquainted to the workings and finner points of the machine.
Thanks. Sometimes seeing a video in action helps. I could not find any when I made my purchase, so I decided to make the video. Happy it helped. Reloading is not cheap! But either is new ammo...lol. Good luck and be safe.
@@msnyder1009 on the third time of ordering I asked questions on their reloader, as I completely rebuilt a hornady 366 and mec 650n with no issues. Found out that you have to resize steel base hulls in another machine, was not in the manual. That there has to be a shell in the first station to adjust the primer seating depth and when loading there has to be one there also. Also not in the manual. They do say it in the directions of a brand new primer assembly. Go figure!
Hey I have some questions on reloading. Would you mind giving me a call?
How do you adjust the amount of powder and shot that comes out of the machine? Very new too this
Thanks Ethan. I did a video on that too. th-cam.com/video/sdabwSLPLV8/w-d-xo.html
Super helpful. Thank you
You got it Travis. Happy it helped!
Thanks, smart ,simple solution . Cheers
Thanks matt, much appreciated
You’re welcome Clarence! Glad it helped.
Your PW could stand to be lubed IMHO 👍
Absolutely. A lot of elbow grease in there. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for posting
Better yet - lay your empty paper shell on the scale (set to grains) and “tare ” the paper shell to zero by hitting the tare button (should be upper left hand button on your scale). Fill the paper shell with a powder drop and place back on the scale. The read out is the weight of the powder & NO MATH!
Thanks Don!
Matt, Thanks for the video, you can zero out the scale for your pan weight before weighing powder...... Saves having to do math! : )
Thanks...good point!
