Judge Guidelines on adding Loose "fluff" Straw to courses
This video details the locations and degree of loose "fluff" straw we want to see on Barn Hunt courses. Competitors walking into the ring should not have an idea where the tubes are because of only a few piles of loose fluff dotted around the course that move from blind to blind.
These guidelines apply to all courses at all levels, from Novice to Master. Clubs are required to allow for adequate straw to be used as fluff.
Judges are to check their level of loose fluff after each blind and replenish as necessary. The last competitor in the ring should see the same picture as the first competitor in the ring.

2018 Barn Hunt National Year Retrospective
It is completely irresponsible of the BHA to move forward with the 2020 Nationals. Now is not the time for interstate travel. In addition, Missouri’s numbers continue to climb and have just been added to the list of states which must quarantine when entering my home state of New York. I love barn hunt but let’s be realistic, it’s low on the list of essential services needed to get us through this pandemic. Things like this are the reason our country is still in the state it’s in with this pandemic. You can do better BHA.
Thank you Robin!
Very disappointed in not being able to just use a face shield. Aganised about entering a trial with even that. My dogs have not been fond of the masks, so I worked with my one with the shield, only to be disappointed again.
Robin, thank you, I appreciate your updates and your commitment to keeping this sport as safe as possible in these very difficult and complicated times.
Thank you, Robin!
