Good set Debi. Having trouble with bar chords, you're probably squeezing too hard. Do some exercises to strenghthen your hand, get a stress ball and squeeze it while your relaxing watching TV etc. You will notice the difference in a few weeks. Also, look up exercises to teach finger independence. I did all this years ago and it made a huge difference.Also, get your thumb down lower on the back of the neck, about in the middle. That way, your fingers get out front more and better access to the strings. You're doing great.

I love folk tunes but Joni Mitchell rambles too much. Your original is fantastic! With the chord progression and chorus structure. To me, it is a Dylan sort of thing. It is a very small step from folk to country but I think it is folk rock. That’s my worthless opinion. Great song whatever the genre.
