Glide Introduction & Overview Video with Founder Amos Miller
He shouldn't be made to hoover the floor
I've been blind since birth and I am a 40-year guide dog veteran. I'd love to see a demonstration of this device on a real Street rather than only in wide Open spaces. It's a great prototype and I can't wait to see how quickly the technology evolves
Clap your hand love you man
Legend
Skate para cegos ? Que porra é essa ?
Just to point out this video is aimed directly at blind people however there is no mention of what the man is talking about either in his description or the little pre-description at the beginning about him unless you knew what guidance was to start with you would be completely clueless, so this is a very bad video
Very excited to be a pioneer of Glide! Got my preorder in earlier this week. 2025 is going to be awesome!
Thank you for your support!
I wish you would have just shown highlights of people trying it at the demos. Sorry, I want to know how and if it works and where it is in the process and where it’s going. Less Luke and his corporatized “emotion” story, and more real blind people using/trying the device. Also, I have nothing against Luke but shouldn’t;t really a blind person be in this role? Amos or someone else? Or is Amos just “token??
There's two videos showing exactly that, no they don't show the most up to date unit but that will probably be shown off next year. I've tried the device and if you get a chance to,, do it. I understand you don't want to buy into something when you've not tried it, I wouldn't either, so perhaps it's best to wait until this thing gets off the ground and starts selling in a year, then you can ask your local blindness organisation if they can perchice one for everyone in that place to try.
First. Best wishes for 2025 to the entire Glidance team! I'm excited to receive mine in the fall. Glad to hear that so much feedback is being taken into consideration when designing.
Thank you, Kevin. We are so glad to have you as a Glider!
My brother went blind in one eye at 16, and totally at 32. He uses a cane, and has had two dogs. This would be so awesome for him. I hope this becomes a thing..
Hello Daniel, Please have him register on our website at glidance.io - We would love to be in touch with more information!
@glidance apparently he already put in an order with you guys. I'm excited to see him use it. I hope it helps, though I have no doubt
Does it pull you? I was under the impression that you push Glide. It may steer you a little bit as it turns left and right, but I don’t think it pulls you. You set your own pace.
Very excited about this device.
Is this just basically like a guide dog? You have to know the route and it works like a dogo? Or Is it like a human guide? Where it somehow connects to gps and guides you from point A to B?
Just got off the computer ordered mine about $1200 with the subscription hopefully this is worth it trying to help the community hope for the best keep your fingers crossed 5:37
Thank y ou for your support!
completely unuseful for us who do not see.
Idiot!!!!!
This seems amazing. I want one.

What is that sort of servo sound in the video? Is that Glide’s wheels, or is somebody taking photos of them as they are walking?
Why are they making that blind woman vacuum the carpet??
I know it may look like it, but that is not a vacuum. That is a mobility aid. It’s kind of like a newer version of the cane. Instead of you whacking at obstacles when you swing it around, the device sees the obstacles with its camera. You probably saw the row of LED lights in the middle of the device. I think the camera is somewhere near those. Anyway, as the device sees obstacles coming up either to her left or right, it will turn its wheels a little bit and steer you away from them
That's Stewy Wunder
This seems great and financially feasible, but what does this do with stairs or steps? Are you not able to go down them and must use an elevator?

Is there a website where we can follow and get more information other than here on the TH-cam channel? Also like to know more about pricing and where can I go to get a demo of the product to see if it’s something that I can make use of, thank you.

There’s so many ways this could be useful. And so many ways this is gonna be problematic. It seems like it works best on a flat surface so like a mall or an airport would be optimal. But what if it’s a rocky surface? The fact that it uses GPS and takes you to the specific place you wanna go and find the door automatically and can maybe find a front desk could be really useful. But what about stairs going up and down? I get that this thing is pretty light, but part of navigation is knowing how many steps and how steep those steps are. This thing really needs legs. And it’s overall look kind of worries me. I get the sense that it’s kind of like a little child’s vacuum that used to move the balls around when he moved it back-and-forth. I don’t know if I could get past that and go out into the world with it. Maybe after a couple of days of using it I’d get completely used to it. I imagine going to the airport and getting to the gate on my own without anybody’s help. That could be pretty awesome. I wish I could have more information

Need more information on this. Doesn’t work on sidewalks. People walking towards and incline.

Looks really neat and would be very beneficial but again financially out of a lot of our league financially in Ontario and pretty well much of Canada. And beyond everywhere. These products are very well and I know they take a lot of time to create but financially it’s out of a lot of peoples leaks to be able to afford it.

How does it handle extreme temperatures? snow? ice? rain? Sand? Rough terrain?

it looks wonderful! I have my deposit safely banked! Just one question: can you turn the glide off, temporarily, if you find yourself in a situation where there is no clear pass, but you would still like the confidence of the wheels and the touching of the floor and the field of a cane in your hand, as you gently push your way through? 5:37 5:37

Very promising and innovative gadget. Will definitely going to become a must have for visually impaired persons. I wonder why nobody thought of this before. I think even without AI, with the existing technology, the design could help sightless people in many ways and I am sure that very soon Glide will evolve to sort out all the negotiation issues of the blind. But I have a small concern, when the wheels get dirty moving through some dirty road or areas, it might be problematic to enter some clean places like office, hospital and houses. So may be it would be helpful if there is a way to keep the wheels clean. May be it will be helpful if the wheels are made swappable to use inside home and other hygienic places.

Hello, the wheels are waterproof and are easy to clean!
Bello/magnifico.💯💯💯💯💯💯🎂
As long as you got someone right behind you with an Xbox controller, you're good
Ha!
That's actually the same controller from that one submarine exploded in the ocean last year I believe. It's a early 2000 controller for computers. Not anything close to Xbox.
