I'm no electrician but that's not enough time for steam to change the shape of the disc. There must be some other fault I'm afraid and maybe yours has a different construction. Good luck.

Hi Eric. Putting the drawer back in should be easy. Have the sliders all the way in. Rest the drawer on them and push the drawer home. You will the hear the 2 clicks as the plastic tabs engage. I've just uploaded a video on what to try with the loose drawer front. Check the screw at the back. Check the metal tabs as shown. If that doesn't help, play around with adjusting the 2 screws either side. It helps to do this with the drawer empty and upside down as you can see and feel real time what's happening. Good luck!

You're welcome. I agree whole heartfelt with you. The fix lasted maybe 6 weeks. The disc was receiving enough steam. If I increased the flow then it would switch off prematurely. No, the problem was the plastic pin and the disc no longer being captive. Us people with the skills and conscience will continue to do what we can to tackle designed-in obsolescence! Cheers.

Correct. The 6B bracket is supplied but this particular bike did not have a hole in the bridge. You would need to drill a hole but I'm not sure if it would compromise the strength of the bridge. I think with a short nut and bolt through the bracket facing to the rear, a strong rubber o-ring could be doubled round the bridge? Need to be inventive if you don't want to chance drilling. Yes I lived near Heathrow for 20 years I know about limescale! Stuff is not made to last long at all but partly it is driven by consumers wanting cheap commodities or not being able to afford quality. I'm assuming you're kidding about vinegar!

@@leelovesnature no I wasn’t kidding .white vinegar dissolves limescale. I buy in bulk from Amazon now as during and after Covid it was hard to get . I couldn’t be bothered to fix as other half just bought another new kettle on offer at Argos. Same type Russell Hobbs Brita filter kettle .2 years warranty and it will probably break just after 2 years. I may try to fix by taking apart as I sprayed white vinegar and also Servisol 10 into gap where switch is but didn’t do anything.Need to dismantle but they use tri-screws and I don’t have that type of tool screwdriver. I think I was able to use small normal one before to open it up. Annoying they use these weird screws. If anyone reads this , which kettles don’t break?

They are really quite small and one might even miss them when lifting up the bin lid if it wasn't for their colourful markings and blue egg sacs.. Maybe 4-6mm body size. This location is unusual as they tend to prefer open habitats on low vegetation. Often they roll a leaf and secure their egg sac inside with silk. We have since moved house and had to leave these beautiful creatures behind. What is impressive is that once a month the bins are emptied mechanically into a wagon, and the spiders and sacs remain in situ.

I hear it's been quite warm down there! Yes in fact this crab lost too. Gulls are definitely not vegan!

@@leelovesnature must be a bad design on these, I have one that is dead as well. No power at all. What is really annoying, I bought it new about 6 or 8 years ago, used it once or twice when new and it worked great. Put it away and go to use it recently and completely dead! This was expensive top of Dremel brand at the time! 😡😡😡

The switch on my kettle was not connected to the base in any way. It's part of the mechanism inside. Sorry if yours is different. There are many different designs. Good luck.

Still can't get the damn handle of the door to replace it ,I have undone the screw but the little turn lock won't budge .

​@@cathjanewhittaker5512 if the grub screw is out then there is likely nothing else but friction or corrosion holding it. I suggest using a hammer on a scrap piece of wood to try to free it. I accept no responsibility for any damage!

Maybe a sign of a third party bolt on aftermarket solution rather than designed from conception? Cube seem to be doing quite well business wise.

Many people here forget that Cube bikes are absolute winners in terms of price and performance. If you want less stress then try Riese & Müller.
