We will prosper economically and overcome the obstacles ahead of us as our people are upgrade via education and economical activities. Does this guy know who also knows about Japan's lost decade? The almost 100 million people in the Communist party of China! The Chinese model is really an adaptation of the East Asian model which is really the Japanese model. The Chinese know very well what they signed up for and what they're doing. That's why we've seen them deflate the property bubble and focus on things like using technology to increase productivity.

Furthermore, It is demoralizing to my impressionable self and to my individually being violated, alienated and destructively criticized for reciprocal thinking by those in and around my physically vulnerable and deprived existence while I am endlessly being inapparently being forced to structure these messages to how many witnesses;? for what I believe are subconscious instinctual reasons as a human being with my own personal life experiences and psychological conditioned responses, as I am in distress and can not nor should I be made to understand why I would even be held to any grammatical standard this way in this environment while experiencing human depravity being inflicted by cowards beyond my human ability to defend myself fairly; WHILE I AM HUMILIATED DEHUMANIZED BY HOW MANY?! So, this is my way of refusing to cooperate in tolerating crimes against myself or a form of self-respect. Dignity or lack of dignity my feeling dignified might play a role as to why I feel so dehumanized if I articulate this and many other aspects when considering my own particular life experiences and challenges. 🆘️🆘️🆘️🆘️🆘️🆘️🆘️🆘️🆘️🆘️🆘️🆘️🆘️🆘️🆘️🆘️🆘️🆘️🆘️🆘️🆘️🆘️🆘️🆘️

Similarity between decline in GDP (a drop of 6% ) for Japan in the 1990s and China in 2020s and trying to predict a future for China based on Japan lost decade? This argument is fundamentally flawed because there is big gap between the baseline level of growth between Japan and China at the material time. Japan's GDP dropped from 5-6% to 0% or negative growth and ended up with protracted recession and stagnation! Where as China dropped from 10% (which was obviously overheating which strained the environment and cause distortion in allocation of resources) to 4-5%. A 4-5% GDP growth is more sustainable and at this level this is still well above the world average GDP growth and also that of US! By the way, Japan's lost decade was "made in America" as a result of the 1985 Plaza Accord which force appreciation of Japanese Yen. Japan was helpless and just had to concede because Japan depended entirely on US for national security!

In 2010 China had 2.7 working age people for every non-working age person (i.e. retired, children). Today it's 2.2 workers for every dependent. In 2 decades time it will be 1.5 workers for every dependent. By 2060 it will be 1.1 workers for every dependent. For comparison, when Japan peaked in ~1990 it's ratio was 2.2:1 and today it's 1.4:1. These figures for China assume that the retirement age will be changed to 65 for both genders, but the sometimes overlooked reality here is that many Chinese continue to work in their 'retirement', and so the real dependency ratio in 2 decades time is going to be 0.8:1 (no retirement age changes) or ~0.8-1.1:1 (retirement age 65). Another thing people gloss over is that because of China's one-child policy that went on for decades, families with multiple children are few and far between, which means you don't have a target pool with extra children who can be workers or soldiers and push to their limits unequally for the sake of supporting the rest. There is only a pool of single children stuck at home taking care of their elderly parents and grandparents with cancer & dementia every day. These are people who won't be able to cook & eat by themselves, can have life-threatening falls each day if someone isn't watching them, need someone to get them on the toilet every few hours, give medication every few hours, and so on. It's one thing to say to a Chinese 'you work 996 now', it's another to tell them to abandon their elderly forebears to prove their loyalty in a shoe factory. I'm enjoying the copemaxxing of the Chinese, because it means us in the West have little to worry about. I hope they continue to believe in their rosy picture delusions to the bitter end, instead of realizing they're going to lose everything and may as well have a last ditch attempt to seize Taiwan while they still have the chance. Soon it will be too late for that, in practicality as well as spirit, for a single child doing daily care for their elderly relatives isn't going to be filled with the passionate tenacity to skip home and die on a beach somewhere for the glory of the motherland.

Good catch. But I would not conflict fast growth with environment damage. China grew at 10% and more because it was utililising the huge latent labor resources it had at the beginning. All of the Asian upstarts grew initially by utilizing labor resources in the beginning and then proceeded to technology. China is at the second stage of utilizing technology to enhance the productivity, A different class of worker is needed and a higher cost of production is necessary. This translate to slower growth as only a small portion of the country labor is utilized, while the rest is riding on inflation. The US and Europe has moved on to the 3rd stage which is patents and investment, it's cost of production is too high to sustain even 3% growth because it isn't growing, just existing. And even less of the population is benefiting. I doubt China would want to enter the 3rd stage, social and cultural breakdown is a noticeable result.

Can China trust US when the US uses Taiwan as a proxy to instigate? If China is going the way of Japan then why is the US so concerned about China? Do we want to talk about human rights when the US is sending weapons to Israel to raze Gaza? There is a saying in China - point a finger at others and you have three fingers pointing at yourself. Let's be real, US is a lot more dependent on China than vice versa. Charlie Munger once said- if US stopped importing from China, Walmart would disappear. Yes, in a trade war China will not have US to sell to, but China will have the other 120 countries that count China as their largest trading partner. Standard of living of Americans will go down and US will have a much higher trade deficit.

Succumb to the body? Hmmm To prepare oneself for an inevitable obstacle as it seems impossible to surmise. The body as presented in this fashion and method is why people don't travel to China? "I am trying to stay out of trouble."-Commish

Chinese are willing to succumb to the body. It seems an ingrained trait derived from a series of movements which instilled order throughout the various stages, periods and didactic regions of Chinese cultural history. "I don't feel prepared to view this entire video."-Commish

    M. Donnet may have his opinion, but I do not share it. The Chinese leaders who were not formed by militarism and war, Deng xiau Ping and Xi Jinping have been clear thinking and benevolent, unlike our USA leaders bent on hegemony and autocracy. Whereas the the former have brought great progress to their people, ours have returned us to the start of the New Deal, with "one-third of Americans ill clothed, ill housed and ill fed." The Chinese central government is communist, but it has the well being of its people as paramount. The government of the USA, pretends to be democratic, but it has been controlled by two major parties operating a war machine to pump wealth from the middle- and working-class to a tiny ruling class of corporate boards of directors. It is the USA that has been in decline since the end of the 20th century, the defeats in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Ukraine, and West Asia. The USA still presides but only over a $35 trillion public debt. . China may have to moderate its constructive ambitions, but the USA has to accommodate to its crippling debt and its loss of worldwide respect and influence. False pundits such as M. Donnet only retard the accommodation.

The "decline" narrative is reaching 50 years old....and needs to take a break. It clearly defines the mastery of the Chinese government and industrialist to be better then their western counterparts in managing the economy and navigating the economic speed bumps.

It is time that Western imperialism and colonialism in the name of capitalism finally come to an end. That’s why politicians and so-called pundits in the West are hysterical and delusional and desperate to stop the rise of China. The so called “coming collapse of China”is, in reality, the coming collapse of imperialism and colonialism, or the collapse of global hegemony. For the last 300 hundred years before the beginning of the collapse of colonialism in the 1950s, Europe had been colonizing the rest of the world, mainly for its endless resources and cheap labor to feed its own economic growth. The West had been fighting wars among themselves for colonies and control of raw materials and energy. Ever since the end of the WW2, independence movements across the globe had first set free countries in Asia, followed by Latín America, the Middle East and lastly Africa. The West is, now, no longer able to get free resources or labor or land, to support its dominance over developing countries, or the global South in general. Under these circumstances, Europe, or the West including Japan, is losing its own economic independence; they are relying heavily or existentially on the support of the U.S. In the meantime, on the other hand, the global South with the cooperation among the BRICS COUNTRIES like China, Russia, Brazil, South Africa and so on, are focusing on their own economic growth and social development. The new world order is emerging with multipolarity and international democracy for shared prosperity. The West is feeling the heat and threat of its hegemonic collapse. That’s why they are following the marching order of the U.S., in its proxy war in Ukraine against Russia. The European countries have become totally dependent on the U.S. for its resources and strength. Without their old colonies, they submit themselves now completely to the hegemony of the U.S. However, with the united front between China and Russia, the global south is awakening to a new world order. They see their hope and prosperity in China’s BRI as well as the strategies of the BRICKS. That’s why the West can not defeat Russia in Ukraine because it doesn’t have the unlimited resources it used to enjoy with their colonies gone forever. The bottom line is how can the West or NATO expect to beat the united front between Russia and China in the long run without getting into a nuclear Armhcsageddon?!

@@junkscience6397 I promise you will be shocked by this. Take a look at landing photos of Shenzhou 5-18, the craft is burnt red, black, or to bare metal. 3000 F or very high heat applied to the whole body of the craft, not just the bottom, traveling Mach 20+ through the air. And after 5-15 day orbit of the earth, the crew needs help to come out of the craft and cannot stand or walk by themselves well. If you look at American Mercury, Gemini, and Space Shuttle, the paints are still there on their body. For the space shuttle, even the yellow letterings on the bottom black tiles are intact. And the crew exits the space craft all by themselves, walking and standing no problem. Moon landing and Mars.... Well....
