As if any thinking person should actually pay attention to anything that Cher has to say. Leon Russell was a significant musical talent who made real contributions to 60's and 70's rock n' roll. Cher was a lightweight pop personality who sang when she wasn't pretending to be an actress.

When I was probably 8 years old (2006), he came to Gruene Hall here in Texas. My dad had always raised me listening to his kind of music and I loved his Leon Russel CD. I was singing along to every song I knew on the stairs up to the stage and his drummer noticed me and was just amazed that I knew the words to the songs. When the show was over he told me to follow him and took me to their tour bus. He went in for a second, came back out and told me to give him something to sign, that Leon never signs anything and that I need to give him something, I gave him the shirt off my back, he came back out moments later with the shirt signed by every member of the band and his drumstick that he used that night. I'll never forget that.

My daughter moved to Moore when her hubby got stationed at Tinker AFB in OKC. She kept hoping she would run into him, but she didn't, then he got sick. My mom's cousin's daughter was his movie agent, and we got outstanding tickets in St. Louis and a meet and greet . He was a huge guy. And so gracious. RIP Toby

Fell in love with Innocents playful personality and then, my God! His amazing voice! Such a handsome man too! Noticed an attractive young lady in the audience say proudly to the person sitting next to her “that’s my Fiancé!” And I thought how wonderful life was going to be for Innocent…..I was annoyed and upset that the golden buzzer wasn’t pressed for him, but at the end of the day, it didn’t matter! He had shared his beautiful voice with the huge crowd on BGT as well as TVs all over the place, the buzzer was irrelevant. But I had no idea of the awful time he had gone through with the demon drink, and truly praise him for winning that very Difficult battle and getting free! Well done Innocent!
