Initiative for African Trade and Prosperity
The IATP’s mission is to champion African free market solutions for increased prosperity by helping to support those best positioned to make a change.
The IATP’s mission is to champion African free market solutions for increased prosperity by helping to support those best positioned to make a change.
What is the IATP? Supporting Change Makers for a Freer African Future
The future of African prosperity is at a crossroads.
The implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) in January 2021 presents a unique opportunity for African nations to transcend the economic nationalism that has constrained the continent for centuries.
While the potential benefits of free trade in Africa are vast, so too are the challenges.
Our mission is to advocate for free market policies by supporting those in Africa who are best positioned to drive change. The Initiative for African Trade and Prosperity (IATP) operates on the core belief that grassroots free market policies are the most effective way to alleviate poverty, enhance individual liberty, and foster a more peaceful future.
As a project of the Institute of Economic Affairs and the Vinson Centre for the Public Understanding of Economics and Entrepreneurship at the University of Buckingham, the IATP collaborates with numerous think tanks, universities, and local actors to amplify voices advocating for greater freedom.
The IATP does not impose its beliefs on others. Instead, we work alongside local actors, helping them explore and promote classical economics and free trade, ultimately leading to greater prosperity for all.

This video analysis is funny 😂😂😂😂 Meanwhile this year Rwanda is recording a 9% economic growth This is insane as many country usually experience a drop in economic growth during there election year but this time Rwanda did difference as the experience a highest growth since the Covid 19 #RwandaWorks and #Kagame is on the wheel
This is a woke hatchet job against Rwanda.
This video has aged badly. As you mentioned, Rwanda has been the world's fastest growing economy 1994-2024. Rwanda's economic growth has continued in recent months and years. Rwanda grew 20.6% in the year ending Q2, 2021 Rwanda grew 7.5% in the year ending Q2, 2022 Rwanda grew 6.3% in the year ending Q2, 2023 Rwanda grew 9.8% in the year ending Q2, 2024 Rwanda is likely to continue growing rapidly over the next 5, 10, 15, 20 years. Rwanda the Model!
Nyerere was right, capitalism and colonialism are conjoined twins. You cant separate them!
Bullshit.
Tanzania can improve its economy by nationalizing gold mining and other key minerals.
Corruption is in public entities, nationalizing is shitting
Never worked before, but THIS TIME it will!!!
What economic freedom are you talking about? Julius Nyerere laid the foundation of Tanzania to build a nation,so please don't disrespect him .He studied the imperialists and their method of destroying countries. The first thing a country must be stable, there is no terrorism in Tanzania ,he united the people for success. I say no more.
stupid analysis
Bro what in the glorifying capitalism to the max did I just watch lol
😂 right? Such nonsense
This is basically a propaganda for capitalism lol
God bless you more my uncle soon I will introduce myself to you, I'm now in uganda. Thank u so much
God bless you more my uncle soon I will introduce myself to you
Be blessed my uncle. I'm so grateful to see you. I will introduce my self to you soon. I'm very happy
India superpower 2047
Great explanation!
Empower women and do what to men? 90% of African men are in extreme poverty. So why not empower them so they start families. An empowered woman will never help a power man. But an empowered man will empower a poor woman. Pls stop your western bs with Africa
Who is this man? Who sent him? And who is paying him? Beware of such kind of traitors folks. Wolves in sheep clothing. These are the enemies of black people and should be dealt with accordingly.
I like every thing with your video , so I subscribe now
More people were killed in the Second World War in Europe than the genocide in Rwanda. So, you cannot say that Rwanda had the worst bloodshed in history... Please, be careful of your words...
We love our beautiful mother land Rwanda! No matter what stories that you guys are trying to create!
we know well in Africa, this country Rwanda 🇷🇼 their economy is growing day by day, go check the world economy, look at it, you will find this country is growing more than others in this EAC region, I think for me it’s because of #VisitRwanda
There is never been such thing as economic miracle. They only steal and loot from Congo. Now that congo is closing the looting routes Rwanda will simply go back to his reality!! Rwanda is a broke country and its poor. Stop hearing the lies they spewing #rwandaiskilling in DRC #Kagame is a #cannibal
Whom are you working for? First remove those videos cause there are not from Rwanda. It’s as if you’ve never been to Rwanda even once in your life! Rwanda’s growth is now! It’s Tourism industry is booming, 2.5 Airport is being built to be done by 2026.
Bullshit 😒
Fake news 😂
😂 This is A negative Propaganda of Genocide Ideology because the way you have been started you didn't mention that what happened In Rwanda In 1994 was a Genocide Against the Tutsi, so stop talking no sanse ! We as Rwandan's we know where we come from, where are we and where we are going.
What do you want from this backward poor Africans? We don't have a magic money printing machine that causes inflation. We have the natural resources you want, and you have worthless money and buy and sell on your corrupt overvalued stock market. You don't ad value to earth other than buying and selling tea in your country's. It's all a big money scheme that will collapse.you had the Marshall plan after ww2. We want to be left alone and find more respectful partners.you have all this in Europe and America. Why do you not us to defend our economy. Your informal market is for us and by us owned by us.😂
Ridiculous propaganda
You absolutely have no news on Rwandan economy!! Your research analysis on our economy is completely vague and biased >> whatever your Intentions!!!
I wish you could come back after 2 years and see what is happening
Rwanda 🇷🇼 economy is Ona good footing it will continue to grow as expected.
Stupid white man trying to confuse Africans 😕 🤔 😖 😣
Hi brother don't tell us about the past talk about what is happening now
You messed up your political carrier my brother nedzungu
Hhhh only conglese spreading rumors 😂😂😂
Kagame himself acknowledged that he is not himself in stealing in the congo 🇨🇩
You a lie u under western agenda u keep saying this even to china
This is a non fundamentalist video seems you did not do enough researches about this country
there was never a miracle as most of the so called economic miracle happened due to massive funding by so called first world countries. The promises made by Kagame, as an automotive plant and other promises did never happen and were massively overexaggerated. Yes, tourism and the exploitation by rich westerners seems to be working to a certain extend but paying several thousand dollars just to see a gorilla is not everybodies thing is it? Ruanda is still financed by foreign powers with up to 60 % of their budget. So not a miracle but a charity as it looks like.
This idoit who is doing video, is so happy his wish to see Rwanda economy fall. His evilish wish won't even materialize. May the evil wish to Rwanda return to him.
Rwanda was a tanzanian province before 1919, and so was Burundi!
You're dumb...There was no Tanzania in 1919...there was hardly an African republic...this system was only introduced in the late 1900's, through kingdoms had always been there for over 500 years ago...
West can not bear the good progress of Africa The always wants to keep Africa as supplier of Raw material. Creating drama of human rights they forget what is happing in us between black Americans n white Donald trump's is announcing white America We must support the people welfare instead of drama of vote ---So called democracy What west did with Africa it is the past story But now what they are doing Look Iraq ,Syria, Afghanistan ,Gaza Is it supporting of human rights. I hope Rawanda n other African countries will give more attention on education, health n industry to utilize its own raw material like Coffee, coco ,cotton n lot
Upon all this war Rwanda is still fighting in Congo DRC and that stupid Paul Kagame must be kicked out of Congo and in power also he is a puppet
Politically motivated analysis!
Economic fraud
Baba makabhadharwe mukaita mari those days when people had faith in you.people had to pray, sing, worship outside the court.pleading with the Almighty for your mercy
Despite the consequences of Covid 19 , Rwanda will continue to shine ….no doubt ! Kudos to HE PK and the people of Rwnada
Some of the propaganda media based on false and more of political stories than real stories
Vielleicht, du träumst
I see some DRC people here shouting about their resources and saying our Rwanda’s budget 50% is from aids etc. hey fat boy! At least it does what it were meant to do in first place. What does your country’s money and resources do? You don’t have no roads,no schools,no markets…most of all NO Security😂. Just corruption and laziness(that’s what DRC is known for btw). Calm down, get a pen and take lessons my dear😉🇷🇼
Rwanda is doing very well, we are reelecting Paul Kagame this year, the economy is geeting better and better, ask all the African migrants flocking to Rwanda.
They can't survive on congolese blood, Congo's resources, cannot longer sustain them as the fight is ongoing I'm eatern Congo
