I don't really think there's much of anything to do about the cheating nor the relationship that come from it, but as the mom in this situation you ABSOLUTELY DO NOT ask the victim to forgive it. You, as her mother, are telling her to get over the fact that her stepsister slept with her fiance, someone she intended to marry and spend the rest of her life with, have children with if they wanted. I'm glad that OP had such a good friend/family looking out for him. I am also glad that his mother finally came to her senses and that her parents were also willing to help fund OP's college fees.
