    This is why most basements have dropped ceilings or low ceiling cannot cut those I've seen worse than that. I had to fix one for a friend. They literally cut a 4-in square into the floor joist on the second floor so they can get plumbing in and the floor was collapsing and to Jack that sinking joist up. We had the load point from the top floor all the way to the bottom floor all the way to the basement to jack it up. So when we jack it up it didn't put pressure on the bottom floor. We got it up a little bit sister'd in some wood but still was sagging

    what about the ones with holes drilled through for the wires ? is that alright or also not good ..

    • @PriorityBuilders
      @PriorityBuilders 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are a ton of issues with where they drilled through or drilled out the floor joists. Definitely not reputable contractors.

    • @davidj4529
      @davidj4529 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depending on the size joist (2x8… 2x10.. etc) there is a max size hole you are allowed to make, typically no larger than 1/3rd the joist width. It also cant be in the bottom 2” or top 2” of the joist, and should not be located in the middle 1/3 of the length. So if its 18’ long, you can make them in the 0-6’ section, or 12’-18’ section. Hope this sheds some insight.

    Depends on how your fixing it if you just gooing to smear some stuff over it yeah your right but there’s also crack injecting with epoxy that will hold the same regardless of it’s done on the inside or outside I do it in holding tanks quite a bit

      A Central vacuum will beat any portable vacuum on air quality so long as the central vacs exhaust is vented outdoors. It doesn't matter what style portable vacuum you purchase ( water filtration, hepa filter or bag etc) they all leak some dust where as a vented central vac eliminated 100% of the dust from the home.
