This time a $25 Konami cab pick up. Used to be a The Main Event Wrestling arcade game.
Picked up a The Main Event Konami arcade cabinet. It's gutted but is in pretty good shape. This one is gonna just get the parts to get it going and be able to play some games. Will be an easy project.

When i was in the USA i bought a NTSC nes im sick of 50hz
Super common problem with these consoles lol
Good cabinet pick up 👍.
So much work for a ez fix.
Mine doesn't do that
Some good wood glue and vice would help those sides… Save it.
Oh my God they need to put this in sparkling zero please let Bulla be a playable character and do stuff like this with a playable GT Vegeta please lol
😗nice
Lol I love how when you were explaining that you were trying to find out what game it was. On the cabinet you can see the antennas from the centipede where your hand is.
@highandmightykayz lol yep I see it now.
fix it man
@@kenmcmaster6938 already fixed it so that it wasn't falling apart and already sold it. Did two other videos for it before it got sold.
It's only the music that is affected here. PAL gameplay for the original Mario Bros. was sped up to compensate for the slower 50 hz standard.
Nice score. Since the monitor goes, you should restore it. None of those controls are for purity or convergence. Degauss it first. Then try adjusting the convergence rings on the tube neck. Note their initial position in case it doesn't fix the problem.
@tenmillionvolts thanks for the info I'll try that.
Nice mustang II
@LordSamuelJ thanks. Has a 2.3 Turbo T5 Trans and 8 inch rear. When I moved from Maryland to North Carolina I was in the process of doing bodywork and we moved on a whim and had to put it somewhat back together. Whenever I get out of this apartment and get a bigger place I need to get back on it.
Well d0ne Brotha! I have 3 Trash Picked Machines I wanna Refurb, An Origonal TEMPEST and DEFENDER, Both Rough Shape and Gutted. and a SEGA/NINTENDO Frogger/Galaxian/Donkey Kong Conctail that needs work as well. New Sub, Dryden, Mich.
@@MotownBatman awesome good luck with the projects. Those are some cool cabs.
Fix it up! could resell it tbh hate to see that go
Yep already started fixing it. Just couldn't go through with parting it out and junking the cab. Did another video yesterday on nailing the side back together and fixing the hole by the control panel.
Glad to see you fixing up that neglected cab! A little love has already gone a long way to make it much more presentable. I saw that cabinet on FB marketplace and I thought the same thing about snatching it up with the idea that the monitor might work. Cool to see that basically everything works!
@mr2foryou yea I grabbed it just for parts but just couldn't scrap the cab. Even if I don't keep it at least it'll live on now.
Originally Centipede.
@techeadache thanks for that I couldn't figure it out. Just looked at a picture on Google and I think your right.
@@kielianstreasures7720 The side art appears to be painted over. Mineral Spirits might reveal the original artwork. Just for laughs. More than likely no chance of saving it. P.S. The audio speaker sounds great! Absolutely a product of the 80's.
@techeadache yea couple layers of paint on the side art. It's not worth trying to keep the artwork but might just try and take some paint off to see what's underneath.
With that damage, I’m not sure how good you can get it looking, but a part of me hates seeing these old cabs disappear so I say give it a go at fixing up a bit to see first before parting it out.
@jklanzer yea I think I'm gonna see what I can do for it. It seems like the right side is the worst. I'm with you just hate to junk it. The guy I got it from couldn't go through with junking it either.
That 6 slot is a beast. Putting a cab on wheels makes so much sense! I don't understand why don't more people do it with their cabinets. So much easier to move around.
@TheBigExclusive yea I put wheels on every cab I get cause If I gotta move them around or out of my way I don't need my dolly.
How do you sell?
@MR-G323 I sell on Ebay,Facebook marketplace and Craigslist.
@@kielianstreasures7720ok thanks
Mine is showing the sega enterprises screen. But then it goes black. Doesnt read any cartidge... Board looks in perfect condition 😢 tried almost everything
Try cleaning the black slot where you put the games. Sometimes those also get dirty and dust and won't read the games even if the game pins are clean.
I actually have some questions about the backwards-compatible PS3 models in case if anyone here may happen to know since I was just wondering myself: 1. Every time you start or quit a PS2 game on the PS3, how come the wireless controller always has to be reconnected to the system each time, but yet it doesn't do that with PS1 and PS3 games though? That's something I've always happened to notice whenever I would start or quit a PS2 game each time. 2. Since the 80 GB PS3 doesn't have the PS2 chips in them for backwards compatibility, how exactly does the software emulation works with PS2 games on the PS3 and is it any good? 3. Since the PS3 is also backwards compatible with PS1 games, which are actually backwards compatible on every PS3 model, what exactly does the PS3 use for PS1 backwards compatibility compared to backwards compatibility for PS2 games? I even noticed that PS1 games are backwards compatible on both PS2 and PS3, but yet they're not backwards compatible on the PS4 and PS5 consoles though. 4. I also don't know exactly how true this is, but I searched up something online from before about the 80 GB backwards-compatible PS3 models actually losing the backwards compatibility feature for PS2 games upon updating the system software since the 80 GB models only use software emulation for PS2 games. Is that true, or no? I was also wondering about that since I actually had an 80 GB backwards-compatible PS3 myself that I used many years ago and it was still able to play PS2 game discs up until the system itself stopped working. I just thought of asking these questions though in case if anyone here happens to know. It would have also been really great perhaps if Sony would have kept the PS2 backwards compatibility feature on the later models of the PS3 as well, especially considering that all models of the PS3 can still play PS1 games. I wish Sony would have never removed the PS2 backwards compatibility feature though from the PS3 in the first place.
Nice video and thanks for sharing this too! I still have a working backwards-compatible PS3 system too so far which is the 60 GB model with the full PS2 hardware built-in and even though I've had it now for a while, it still works fine so far for the time being since I haven't gotten the Yellow Light of Death (YLOD) or anything on it yet which is really nice. One of my go-to PS2 games that I've been playing a lot on the backwards-compatible PS3 model is Gran Turismo 3: A-spec which also happens to be one of my most favorite PS2 games including one of my most favorite games in the Gran Turismo series.
anyways to slow down the pal games?
Nope.
@@kielianstreasures7720 :/
sorry to break the news to you but that is a refurbished NES. a OEM 72 pin connector MUST be pushed down in order for the cartridge to be read
Sorry to break the news to you but this NES was barely used when I got it and the original connector was like new. You know how I know it's original because I opened it and cleaned it. The new 72 pin connectors are junk. If it's original and in good shape this works if not take the oem connector out, take something to redo the pins and boil it and good as new.
If it is the original 72 pin connector then someone has bent the pins to be able to make the connection with the cartridge without pressing it down.
@@kielianstreasures7720 Did you check for the OEM markings on the plastic on the 72 pin connector? That is how you see if it is an OEM one, or you compare the pin color. OG NES will not work like this with OEM pin connectors, you must push down.
Only the music is faster I think
Bootleg game consoles be like
Do you sell the neogeo 6 slots arcade cabinet
I sold this about a couple months ago.
I honestly wouldn't care if it was a reproduction as long as it was priced accordingly and it worked. I accidentally bought a phony SoulSilver off of eBay and it only worked up to a certain point and then the game would always crash.
that's a beautiful console you have, have you bought it new or is it just mint condition?
This one is just in excellent condition. Took me awhile to find one in this shape.
@@kielianstreasures7720 i can imagine, it's looking really fine
i like the little hair puff vulpix have
Please keep in mind that bootleg Pokemon games cannot interact with each other, the gen 4 Pal park will not work with a bootleg GBA game. So if you want to transfer Pokemon from gen 3 all the way up to home, buy a real game.
You're already getting scammed by " Collectors " banking hard on these games making them absurdly expensive.... Wish they would just rerelease them to make them publicly available again to everyone who wants to enjoy the actual games rather than just letting them collect dust and wait till they're worth more...
I wanted to point out at 3:08. You pointed out about the Nintendo logo being circled around. There’s 2 versions of FR/LG of the Nintendo logo on the motherboard. The one you have with no circle and there’s another one with the circle. It’s only for those 2 games of course. R/S/E never had one with the circles around. Wanted to point that out for collectors just incase they do come across one with a circle. Main thing to determine the authenticity of a game cartridge is the 4 rectangles from the back topleft side as well.
Can you do a video or already did one on how to spot Ds games like SoulSilver/HeartGold to be either real or fake. I did get a fake HeartGold from Gamestop 2 years ago.
I don't have any DS fakes to do that. If I come across some and I can get them for cheap I can put them up against my real ones.
I have found bootlegs sometimes dont hold a save even with new batteries. I think it better investing in a flash cart if your gonna be buying bootlegs.
I do have a fake but can i still do trades?
fake gen 3 can trade with real or fake gen 3, but fake gen 3 cannot trade up to gen 4.
Thanks for telling me cause i was going to think about buying a trade connector@@FlippyisSlippy
I remember FireRed being my first ever pokemon game about 20 years ago, soon after the ds lite came out. Little did I know, that legitimate cartridges were never meant to say "The save file is OK" every time the game opens. My game that I grew up playing as a kid wasnt even a legitimate cartridge 😭
But did it change anything of the playing experience? I'd say it is fine if it didn't
@@itsmarshallll2600 It actually did. My first ever save file got deleted after a while when my game crashed one time.
@@TheReconJacob that is unfortunate. I haven't had any trouble with my fake cartridges
Idk if this it to much….but I have the old ones for the Gameboy color I have 6 fake and use them to play 🤷. I have the real 6 ones in there original box and displayed. And same for the GBA as well I have 5 fake and 5 real.
I just bought fire red and leaf green. I let me niece open the mail and gave her leaf green. She was super excited. They were fakes, only paid 15$ for both of them.
I don't see a problem as long as they work as intended. I myself own a fake Emerald and it's working fine
Why is the a 'Copyright 2001' on the authentic board? The games came out in 2004.
The Gameboy Advance came out in 2001
@@HolyFailure Ooohhhh thanks 🤓
Alot of these methods have been debunked. I wouldn't use these methods, there is a subreddit with all the verification methods, but most of these have been debunked.
You are literally overlooking the easiest thing to see with the shell still on for the advanced games. On the back you should see the 4 square/ rectangle contact pads. You should not be seeing all the dots that you can see at 2:22 on the upper left. Any time you see a lot of dots and not throu holes (Vias) then it's more than likely a fake.
Thanks for the info I did miss that. Hopefully someone reads this and has another thing to look for.
At this point more people have played on bootleg carts/emulators than actual geniuine copies.
As long as you don't buy fake games at real game prices... Would be pissed if i bought fake Emerald for $200
Yeah same. I got my fake Emerald for 15 bucks or so. Didn't even bother to look for an original cartridge because the prices, even for only cartridge, are insane.
Sooo if the games are fake do they even play?
yes they still play i have 5 fake ones. Downside is the small chance it just stops working, I dont remember why this happens though. and the other downside is that the games that require battery function for certain things wont work: Example - Ruby and Sapphire in order to get Snorunt, you need to enter the cave at low tide, however if you set your game to a time that is not low tide, then you will never catch it because time will never pass. Also cant grow berries
Yes but no. I had a fake emerald before and I played until I beat the elite 4. After the game reset itself, and I couldn’t play any post game in emerald. So like I said yes, but no lol.
I wouldn't mind owning fake pokemon games as long as everything is working good, plays good , and can save data 🤔😅
*BUEN VIDEO.SALUDOS*
TH-cam recommend me this. Well, thank you! 👍
