This is a cover of Para Mexer by Animals As Leaders from The Joy of Motion album. We were reading this by ear and arrange this masterpiece for piano by ourselves. They are talking about differences in composition which is pretty hard to avoid when transcribing between instruments. He did amazing 👏 😍

took piano weeks to learn perfectly, took drums hours.
Morse0 The drums for Animals as Leaders are hard as shit. its easier for me to learn a piano piece because the notes can be grouped up like chords whereas with drums its a lot more straight forward memorization and more utilization of all limbs. Drumming is harder than it looks.
i've been drumming for 11 years and I still can't play para mexer, it's not even easy in the slightest, the entire song relies upon complete memorization
This song is both undeniably hard to play on both piano and drums. But though both take thousands of hours to master - as a master, this song is much easier to learn on drums than piano. I play drums myself, but i always feel far more satisfied learning something on piano (its more respected too)
As a drummer, my pride disagrees with this. I think it would depend on what you mean by master. I think drumming probably has a lower barrier of entry than most instruments, but way down the line, the amount of skill required to reach another degree of proficiency skyrockets. That's just my opinion having not any real experience with another instrument.

Not gonna lie.. it sounds weird. For me, the arrangement is not holding up, harmonies have been messed up with, sometimes you're just playing the wrong notes or the hooks aren't where they should be which is disturbing. I guess you just misheard some things in the learning process. I'm not trying to bring you guys down, this is a good work overall but it definitely sounds repetitive and chopped up when it should be flowing and give a cyclic feeling. On the other hand, Javier Reyes just shared this video on his facebook page, I guess he likes it, so who I am to tell you how it should sound. But there are tabs and scores of this song on the internet so why not have worked from that ?
Kinda feel the opposite, i also find it becomes sometimes a bit repetitive but they cant afford to put aditoonal audio effects like aal do, and overall it is well done and sounds nice imo So just to see ur point, can you tell me where do you here weird or wrong notes?

You're the reason why they'll end up pushing themselves a lil' harder.
Note-wise, they're very close to the original. I think the reason it sounds a bit weird is that, though they're technically playing 'perfectly', they're not quite at the level of mastery and feel that you hear on the album. Seems a little bit robotic, and understandably so because it's not an easy piece to play. Also phrasing on guitar is different from piano, which kind of throws things off too.
