@@gregkeefer8605 my uncle had an old Bushnell on a 30-06, during last years moose hunt he tried to adjust the focus and the cross hairs moved….not the best thing to have happen at that time 😜

@@gregkeefer8605 we actually tried the scope on another rifle and it shot great, three groups all sub MOA. we just did a bedding job trying to fix the play at the recoil lug, video results should be out soon. 🤔

@@42N8_1 yeah that’s one of the reasons I bought the rifle, great reviews and Bergara has outstanding barrels. I think I got “lucky” and just got a poorly bedded unit. I have since corrected all the issues (including a bedding job) and have gotten .40 groupings with some of the heavier match grade ammo (seems to prefer 140 gr). It was a very frustrating journey though🤔

Well in Canada a five round magazine won’t get you far but 30 or more could do some damage. The point I was trying to make is .223 or 5.56 is not the “deadliest” cartridge on the planet and pales compared to a .308 or 30-06 (popular hunting cartridge for large game). In Canada in most provinces you can’t even hunt large game with .223 because it’s too small to ensure an ethical kill. If I was a Ranch owner with a hog problem I wouldn’t be concerned with an ethical kill.

Haha I wasn’t aware how bad it seemed until I watched the Final Cut. The dog (chewy) is fine lol.

@@PhilinWaterloo yeah I’ve seen tons of people having great groupings with this rifle. We think it was a flimsy stock issue, bad harmonics. We did a bedding job and now it shoots MOA, sub maybe with the right loads. 🤔

I was thinking the same thing when I heard the report. It was well known that he was in possession of illegally obtained firearms, really makes you wonder.

@@giannidimetrio7122 we are getting a clear picture of how banning handguns has had no effect on crime, in fact violent crime is up since you know who got voted in.

100%, unfortunately the majority of voters don’t have a clue when it comes to our firearms laws and how much each individual is vetted before a permit is issued. 🤔

It is very sad indeed. Meanwhile we follow all the rules and still subject to “knee-jerk” OICs🤷‍♂️

Well somebody has been watching the news and believing the media. .223 and 5.56 is an excellent calibre for varmint and let’s not forget inexpensive for target practice and competitions (yes a legitimate use). .223 was designed to wound not kill (thus removing two people from the battlefield). No round is designed to tumble, the whole reason rifling was invented was to stabilize the projectile until impact (rate of twist increases spinning). Thank you for suggesting I join the army, I spent 28 years protecting my country and “all of its citizens” even those unwilling to make the same sacrifice. I suggest you sign up, you might just learn a thing or two. 🤔

@@theguywithbeardgunsandgear sorry the 5.56 was designed specifically to tumble on impact as hollow p[points are banned in combat, Rifling is to improve the flight of the projectile keep in in a straight path it has nothing to do with impact. Read a book on Ballistics and physics. You are right a 22 long is good for varmint control and target shooting, but a bolt action is all you need for that.

@@eh9692 The 5.56 was never designed to tumble before reaching it's target. It didn't ever tumble before reaching the target. It can tumble after it hits the target but all bullets can. You ever compete in three gun with a bolt action….good luck. I do t know where you get your info but the “tumbling” design of a .223 or 5.56 is a myth and has been refuted many times.

Yeah I’ve seen people have serious issues with certain muzzle breaks. Closer inspection revealed that it wasn’t the case with my rifle. It turned out to be a really sloppy bedding job (recoil lug was not even close to a tight fit). Sometimes a little DIY and patience will bring the results you were hoping for but it was a frustrating voyage.

@@theguywithbeardgunsandgear Nice work - hope it continues to shoot well. I shoot Tikkas and my 6.5 T3X Tac A1 is scary accurate. Group of note is 3 shots into 4.5 inches at a lasered 825 yards. Others are . 4’s at 300 meters (not all the time of course👍😃). It’s been better as it gets older (just like me). Overall in the mid . 3’s at 100 meters for 3 shoots - really, no BS - and that’s averages. Have a great day.

Here are the facts, NO Military has ever gone to war with an AR-15, you’re thinking of a M-4 or in Canada a C-7, which are equipped with select levers that include an automatic rate of fire which is Prohibited in Canada as are 30 round magazines. It’s the smallest of cartridge at 5.56 and quite useless for large game. It’s used for target shooting, competitions and maybe varmint control. There has ZERO mass shootings in Canada that involved an AR-15. BTW AR stands for Armalite (designer) or said firearm. But hey if the “talking heads” on the news said it’s dangerous better get on that wagon.

Yeah we agree on that. The judge ruled that property rights do not extend to firearms…CCFR is in process of appealing but how do we fight that?

We just need a judge to see that for what it is, the last one didn’t.

Don’t think that happens, lots of companies use Bergara for their barrels. I think it was a fluke bad bedding. The recoil lug was sloppy🤷‍♂️

I’ve never tried the type 97, I had a buddy that had a Norinco M1 in .308 it worked really well. Chinese made firearms have some a long way. 👍

I watched the same video, labels like “military grade” and “style” do not help. A little information would go a long way, categorizing firearms based on their operating characteristics should be a no brainer. 🤔
