How interesting! The tiara was really special, for me. It was a strong piece but still feminine and delicate. Wearing it only one time and giving it back, for free. That is generosity.
Never heard about Verdura, he was a great jewelry designer.
How poor is US Tv. This short video has so much repetition in only 3 minutes. The Chanel cuffs are shown at least three times but they fail to mention the original Chanel cuffs are made of base metal. Sloppy reporting
Natasha paley was a niece of Alexander the 3rd. She was a first cousin of Nicholas the 2nd. Her Father Grand Duke Paul was exiled for marrying her mother who was a commoner. Her father and brother were shot by the Bolshevik’s during the revolution
Wonderful video, thanks for telling such an interesting story. Just a few small details, is Empress Theodora, not queen. She was the wife of Emperor Justinian. Empress Helena was the mother of Emperor Constantine. Incidentally, Empress Helena is credited with discovering the True Cross in Jerusalem. According to tradition, the True Cross was the cross in which Jesus Christ was crucified.
Such interesting and FUN sites for those interested ....!
