Played this with my sister back on the Wii. Was excited to play it again on switch and we ran into this so much. We *knew* something was up! We could have sworn that the game worked better for us on the Wii and this is definitely why. Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

It’s definitely the price you just can’t take a 10 years old game make it hd and sell it as new, it should’ve been 20$ or less blizzard remaked the original trilogy of crash (way better games)not remastered remaked and sold it for 30$. half of Nintendos games are not worth it just wait until it comes to the online subscription or emulate don’t get ripped off

DKC HD I will for a very low price. This is why I bought an M. Classic upscaler for my Wii so then I could get an HD experience on the Wii. I know a lot of people in the game community hate motion controls, but I really don't mind them. I didn't buy the 3DS version because I didn't feel the need to Even though it had extra levels. I really hope they do fix this game because I want to like it but I see how bad the gameplay is at this State and that's not good

Its just so weird how bad this game is, its unlike Nintendo to release a game riddled with so many issues. Like sure you can have the opinion that their games are sometimes overpriced or sometimes you just don't like the game but its always a constant that their games are not riddled with glitches/problems but here its just all over the place with problems.

The main problem is that it wasn't made by the same people who made Donkey Kong Country.

This kind of stuff is precisely why I have zero excitement for the Switch 2. The Switch era has made Nintendo arrogant, and in many ways, lazy as hell. This could've been the best version of the game and priced at $30 or less. Nope. It is possibly the worst version and is the exact same price as Tropical Freeze, which was also a port that shouldn't be $60. Nintendo is just another tone deaf corporation.

The park have been in planning and development since 2015 that's why it's based on dk returns and whatever is on mk9 won't influence it

My big issue with them pushing the old Donkey Kong design is that it isn't the DK we all know and love, that's Cranky Kong! They are messing up their own lore for no reason!

Very confusing time to be a Donkey Kong fan right now lmao. This is a huge bummer and I really hope Nintendo does fix this soon. It was such a good way to handle simultaneous platforming to begin with.

I feel like the japanese don't get the appeal of donkey Kong, every game they've made themselves has been really weird some way or another instead of being a traditional good experience. Heck even smash with its gross mis characterization of DK

Retro and rare must be feeling so weird but proud seeing the theme park, as practically everything there was created by them and not Nintendo. Them, tiny studios compared to the powerhouse that is Nintendo, that just wanted to make fun games about a monkey, have had their work immortalized in a theme park.

Oh wow, yeah this needs a patch. I've only ever enjoyed this series in multiplayer, and this is the only entry I have yet to play.

Rareware pretty much gave DK his identity. Nintendo didn’t try to do anything with the ape after the arcade days.

I'm personally fond of how this new DK design looks, the mario kart footage we saw had the characters kind of stylized to vibe with the claymation-like look of Mario Wonder. So this DK feels like a loveable claymation friend for the style mario stuff is going for, and I enjoy that greatly

DK might become the next Pac-Man, they only acknowledge the arcade era and nothing else, I fear the worst will happen because Nintendo's inner working have cult like behavior with original works and foreign properties that they inherit.

I never want to play multiplayer platformers because of the chaos. I never knew about the cool functionalty of co-op in the wii original. It's a shame it's missing here, and yes it's probably was since HD i really a port of the 3ds game. Good on you for pointing it out though. I hope it gets fixed. I am enjoying the single player.

I really love the look for DK in the new Mario Kart game. Its very DK94 and im so here for it.

Wii ports on switch is unnecessary, all they had to do was add it on the Virtual Console or the Online pass

Nintendo seems intent on having more or less monthly releases but are also working on games for Switch 2 so we were bound to get some lame outsourced titles. They have lots of outsourced titles that are good or great but somehow you could tell even when this was announced it would be bare bones or worse

Honestly the whole Mario Kart thing is a lil' silly imo. I think it's just an artstyle direction (like with Mario Wonder) and either way I think it's a really cute design :)

I'm waiting to see if the new game will be including Alternate Costumes like Mario Kart Tour because if yes, the new design could simply be that: an Alt meant to be more like his original design. There's also the possibility of this simply being part of an art style for Mario Kart specifically as *everyone else is slightly different too.* DK is simply the most noticeable because of his eyebrows but this could be like _Super Mario Bros Wonder_ where the art style is slightly different compared to normal and it's not actually a redesign. Maybe it is a redesign, maybe not. We literally only have a few seconds of DK in the background of a new Mario Kart trailer. We need to wait and see if it's a reoccurring design or maybe it'll even be addressed. Before the Mario Movie came out we got a short clip of Miyamoto talking about DK being redesigned for it. Maybe we'll get another one since everyone is talking about it.

I was already expecting an upscaled 3ds version as the levels from said version where included, hopefully they fix this as playing co-op with problems like this become annoying for both players,you who wants to have some fun with your brother or someone else and that person who can't fellow you at the same time

I love DKCR but 2 things I don't like about it those atrocious ass rocket barrel levels and the Tikis are the most generic villains you can create... Tropical Freeze bad guys are definitely a lot better compared to DKCR

Back in my day, the glory days, Donkey Kong was featured with Mario "Jumpman" only using its name because that's what King Kong ( and any Kaiju movies really ) did. THEN Rareware made Donkey Kong the hero... And they said it wasn't the same Donkey Kong with their british humor ! Donkey Kong Country IS the spin off, not the reverse ! So yeah, it's normal that for any Miyamoto related work, Donkey Kong has to be side to side with Mario ! That's the normal state of things ! Donkey Kong Country IS the bizarre state ! ( and a very good one, mind you ) Mario vs Donkey Kong is NOT a spin off, it IS the continuation of what Donkey Kong was : an acrobatic platformer with some puzzle element with an emphasis on puzzle over the years. Diddy Kong racing on the other hand really have nothing to do with Donkey Kong.... We can smell when someone took the environment they grew up with as granted instead of seeing the big picture. PS : I think we can be very happy that Donkey Kong dared to invent other ennemies than kremlins instead of being stuck with the same goombas and koopas like a certain plumber we all know... Tropical Freeze is one of the best game of all time and i don't think it would have been that great if it had the Kremlins again with us comparing their new stuff to what the excellent DKC2 already did.
