It was published in a research paper last year. OpenAI copied it like the Chinese and anyone else. What the Chinese are doing that is interesting is getting the similar results using 1/11 of the resources.

Pretty unlikely, that we will have any kind of access to an AGI through a "webpage" or an API.... for the foreseeable future, there is no "AI," disguised as ChatGPT, there are only LLMs out there... good LLMs, great LLMs, sure, but LLMs nonetheless...

We will become weak and useless, eventually relying on AI. After that subjection happens, they will replace us, the useless eater, as the perfect governable citizen.

I just love how they use their own language and not the official academic language. Maybe everyone should do the same. We should all write whatever we want using whatever words we want. Just because. Why not write a paper describing a LLM or whatever by calling it a goose? The goose is so great we're gonna eat it by supper. And by that I mean LLM is better than nano. And by nano I mean teba. And by teba I just mean whatever. And just keep going until I reach the stoping limit of whatever. Who cares? Why bother? Why not just be cool about everything like a good cofliscongirtion. Look, here's the problem. I'm almost 40. And if I try, I can probably figure out what tokinization refers to. I don't even know it it's supposed to be written with a z or an s. Tokinization or tokinisation. Whatever. But all of my professors from the university I studied at are in their 60's. Some even in their 70's. And they are still active. Many of them. And they have dealt with neural networks before. Many of them have done things far more complicated than AI. Just try studying the math regarding topology in order to build computational meshes. Compare that to the theory behind a NN and you will see what I mean. AI is not really a complicated mathematical topic. There are things out there far more complicated. Anyway... If a student were to come to one of my professors, saying he wants to write a paper on the tokinization of a NN or whatever else they consider to be of interest, my professors would most likely reject their proposal. If you are in the academic environment, it is polite to respect the academic language. Even if many find it stiff. Or worse. They might accept the titles, not comment on the words used, but simply not help that student in anyway. Because why would they. Have they wasted their time teaching something in the standard academic language, just to be asked to start tokinizing? It seems rather disrespectful to me. If Meta thinks renaming things just because they want to is a good idea, that's their decision. But I highly doubt it that they will get anywhere desirable with this approach. They are upsetting a lot of people. And most of them don't lash out on the internet as I do. Most of them keep to themselves and simply never help. Oh... You gonna tokinize something? OK, whatever. I'll give you an A, whatever. Go at Meta, get a job there. I just can't wait for Fb and stuff to simply vanish into non-existance.
