The adventures, breakdowns, repairs and upgrades of Blue Tit the 1985 Land Rover 90
A week with the Macan GTS- Babies, Dogs, Snow and Revs!
Greetings internet users!
Welcome to a TH-cam video of Tati being lent her first-ever press car! 'Pinch me moment' seems a little tame for this monumental occasion, so we are going to go with a 'punch me in the face' moment.
I took the Porsche Macan GTS Twin-turbo 2.9 litre V6, all the way to Scotland and back, and only got stopped by the police once!
Blue Tit was just not going to make the trip, sadly. Last time we arrived in the land of haggis with a burnt valve, which was a stressful, expensive, and painful experience for all involved.
So, off we went, one Tati, one unexpected Spaniel, one mega mummy Macan machine, heated seats, electronic windows, and far too much power than I knew what to do with, all the way to Scotland.
On a practical level, the Macan got put very much through its paces:
It was piled to the brim full of my s**t,
it chugged through the snow,
carried 3 kids on the school run,
successfully evaded a chocolate massacre,
AND didn't even hint at breaking down on us.
I have fallen a bit in love with the beast, and that isn't just because it wooed me with its heated seats and cruise control.
It was so much fun, so exciting, and just spine-tingling to drive, and the kids rather liked it too. I have never felt so much peer pressure from a 4-year-old to floor it before.
Teach em young ey!
The biggest thank you to Porsche GB for your very trusting loan. I am so unbelievably grateful- Thank you. Back to reality for me :)

Unfiltered Roadtrip in a Land Rover
มุมมอง 40K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
Welcome back... I am quite surprised to see you here after the chaos of the video. This, inevitably, is probably the worst TH-cam Video ever made. Now, I cannot promise this one is any less chaotic, but the one has a bit more of a storyline/ makes a little bit more sense. We begin where we left of last time, with Katie leaving, and Emily joining @emily_mcparland We drive through Switzerland and...
2 Girls Road Trip around Europe in a 🚙 1985 Land Rover 90 🚙
มุมมอง 151K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
Hello! My name is Tati and this Ep.1 of my adventure around Europe with my friends in my 1985 Land Rover 90, Blue Tit. We took my camper converted Land Rover down through France, into Switzerland, and almost reached the Dolomites. The camper conversion was very basic: my Dad and I did it the summer before, and it is brilliant because it is totally removable, but it also gives us a kitchen, ward...
Rebuilding a Land Rover's Carburettor- Weber 32/34 DMTL
มุมมอง 13Kปีที่แล้ว
Rebuilding a Weber 32/34 DMTL Weber Carburettor. This carburettor is off my 2.5 naturally aspirated petrol 1985 Land Rover 90. It is my first time rebuilding a carb so this is not so much a 'how to' but more 'how not to'. Definitely got a couple of things wrong but it's a learning process. Photos of the manual are at the end of the video. Big thank you to Vestige Customs Garage for the tools, m...
I’m not sure I’ve ever commented on a YT video before but this resonated with me. Back when I was a year or so older than Tati, I had a hankering for a Land Rover and ended up with an ex-Army Series III 109, still in camo paint. I learned to adopt what I called momentum driving, being as smooth as possible with my inputs to preserve whatever precious momentum I had somehow managed to acquire. Plus, it had a habit of stalling when cold (i.e. my entire 6 mile commute to work, resulting in ~12 mpg) if you let the revs drop, so looking ahead to be able arrive at a junction still rolling was always a good idea. Fast forward nearly 30 years and I now drive a Porsche Macan S. OK, it’s down on power compared to the GTS Tati blagged for herself, but it’s enough for everyday driving. I call it the gateway drug to Porsche ownership as in some circles it’s not a real Porsche as it’s a 5 door hatchback rather than a sports car, but it still goes, stops and corners better than any other car I’ve owned before. Last week I started thinking about the Landie again as the Porsche was in dire need of some brake work and I reverted to momentum driving to preserve what was left of the brakes, and then this video dropped to complete the karmic circle. So well done, Tati, for going on an automotive journey in a few short years that took me several decades!
Love watching these two what a good laugh
You have not had brilliant biltong until you have had South African Biltong - Greetings From South Africa
I love the content, you are so real and funny!
A green power ranger… 😂
Aww Tati! My dog was called Copper too so when you picked him up I was like 😍 Great vlog as usual! X
Car go vroom camera go boom 😅
Well played @porscheuk for lending the Green Machine to the lovely Tatty, who made the most fun video on the Macan on the whole of TH-cam 👍😊👏👏
Think your sister appeared on an REPerformance video recently. Really need to know how you both ended up as ‘car perverts’, in Jonny Smith parlance! I was in Somerset a few years ago in a Cayman, very early in the morning, and I was trying to find an address so I was driving slowly. Got flashed by the plod and stopped, to ask what I was doing, was it my car, etc. ETA, you are funny to watch and the dog is lovely, well done.
Great car although I may be slightly biased 😂
Lots of fun! 😊 Thanks for the content!
Cafetiere = Polo = perfect
French men are like Italian men in that they have an eye for the nice ladies. He just honked his horn to be friendly and say "Hello."
I'm a simple man. I see a happy, smiley, articulate young lady giving off positive vibes on a foul, cold and grey winter's day and I immediately feel much happier, watch the video right through and click 'like' and subscribe. Promise you won't ever change, Tati, as trust me, you're worth your weight in gold. By the way the cuteness of that lovely baby is off the scale!
Great video, and I mean this in the most constructive criticism way possible, you need to invest in some camera mounts for the car and a gimbal/handle for the camera. Great content but half your head is cut off a lot of the time 😂
I couldn’t agreed more! Sorry!!
Tati is playing yummy mummy for a week! The car, the kids, the house, the dog... and the (pretend) yummy mummy!
Tati, You are about to conquer what ever it is you have set your sights on... make sure its your heart that has guided your gaze....... And the big one........... NEVER EVER TAKE ADVICE FROM SOMEONE WHO IS NOT WHERE YOU WANT TO BE OR HAS NOT BEEN TO WHERE YOU WANT TO GO.......... GODSPEED Kiddo.......Do Good Things in the world......
The A button meaning air bags was great lmao
you could get a first gen Cayenne as a go between?
Hope u can handle the power😊
Background noise too much you need a microphone
I've just bought a 1995 Volvo 940 and I really wanna do something like this!!
You 2 have wonderful genetics!
I never thought I’d have such a detailed image of a flower in the Swiss Alps getting rinsed in piss, those road trip memories
Say what you like, but this has to be the best "real life" review of this car on the internet. Not overly technical, by an over informed car expert. Just "real" people using a car, as it was meant to be used. No harm that it is done by the most beautiful people on the planet. Don't worry, only mildly annoyed by this fact. Great video, love the unfiltered simplicity of it !
That was brilliant 👏 You could overland a slightly older Porsche Cayenne.... 🤷♂️
"The new Porsche Macan GTS, more reliable than a 40-year-old Land Rover!"
you went from a wholesome rover owner to white trash so very quickly - so unfortunate, so sad 😢
A working vehicle that in it self must be amazing. Hehehe
More vlogs pleaseeee🥰 loved your 3 videos though 😅
Let it be known that I watched this all the way to the end-and I enjoyed every second of it!
I’ve always wondered how to turn the airbags off in my car, now I know
Happy to have helped 💁🏻♀️
Fortunately my astra doesn't have that feature
It's not for the airbags that's the automatic stop/start for the engine 👍
@@Gamepad101 It was clearly a joke
Everyone should have a spaniel in their lives. It should be law.
Hilarious video, love every minute😂
Nice one Porsche UK, bit of a pro skills move there.
Hmm, I love the colour! But still well prefer the dog and the Land Rover though...
20:29 "Excuse the wind". Never heard that before. Was that for the tiny hickup or did she sneak one out the backdoor?
This was absolutely brilliant, so heart warming and entertaining and even slightly informative in places too 😉 You and your friends give me hope for the future, so incredibly grounded and modest but so articulate and capable. Well done also to Porsche for supporting you, smart move. Thank you.
Five minutes in and your letting a dog in the car and picking up kids and feeding them Dairylee Dunkers 😂 rental cars are the best, but I’d never lend you mine!
Its not a rental........porsche loaned it to her
Tati , I love you in a cute grandad way ! If I was rich I would give you a Porsche !
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Automatic airbag 😂😂😂😂😂😂 That is the button to turn off cut off engine at the lights or stops.
You know what Tati, you are absolutely BRILLIANT and so down to earth, charming and witty, I absolutely love your videos, you're such a joy to watch. Nice to see you were in my homeland, if only i knew you were going you could have brought me back some Haggis and Square Sausage, mmmmmm and dropped it off to me in Yorkshire lol. Anyway beautiful girl, you soooooooo deserve so much more subs and I hope you get them, you're an absolute sweetheart. Keep smiling Tati, you're a "STAR". 😘😘❤❤🌟🌟🌟
Macan = tiger (in bahasa)
Absolutely love your videos, and damn that Macan looks good.
Who paid the insurance for you on that? The Police probably thought you were a drug dealer driving that. Getting back in the Corsa must have been a shock.
Did you wave at any Landys forgetting you were in the Macan!? I’ve done it once when I was in my Scirocco and the Defender driver must have been wondering who I was 😂 Anyways great video and thanks for taking us along with you.
I did! It was a little bit embarrassing to say the least.
Nice bluntstones there a great boot 👍
Great video Tati and you should be so proud of yourself. Also I really hope someone at JLR has watched this and are currently kicking themselves very roundly for not doing this before Porsche!!!
