Apologies for taking ages to reply to things, past 2 years have been wicked. "utagoe" is a free japanese software (an english translation, as well as an english translation of the manual, exists) that runs a song against it's instrumental to make isolated vocals. This song in particular took a lot more work than that (using several versions of the song and instrumental and cutting them together, as well as additional processing after, EQ and whatnot) and I probably could have done better but I'm still happy especially for my skills at the time with this track.
I forgot to say this is amazing. How much time does it take to rip vocals from songs ?
there's a lot of different strategies and methods. if you have everything you need it can take less than an hour, some more difficult projects can take days.

You think you could rip the vocals from Stardust Speedway Present (JP)? I was thinking about doing a full audio remake, but I don’t want to have to get people I know to chant “Here’s your kid! There’s your kid, C’mon, let’s hustle hustle!”, lol
How did you make this?
Phase cancelation. You take the original and instrumental and invert the polarity on the instrumental (flip the waveform upside down) This causes matching waveforms to cancel out and go silent, thus creating a vocal only. Of course, tweaking is a must and some vocals may not come in, especially if they aren't centered in the stereo field.

as others have stated, there is an official instrumental. I don't have it unfortunately but I know it exists in lossless somewhere. Most Sir J material I have is lossy mp3
