Evening Skincare Routine | 12 Product Favorites + Trying Gua Sha and Retinol | Part I
Last year I turned 30 and decided to level up my skincare regimen to start protecting and preserving my skin. I initially introduced some Mary Kay Timewise products which jumpstarted a deep dive into anti-aging products and techniques. I am here today to share 12 of my favorite products for anyone transitioning into their thirties or just wanting to start an anti-aging routine. I've also listed some additional holy grail products not featured in this video below, so keep on scrolling!

12 PRODUCT FAVORITES from this video:
1. Bath & Body Works foaming hand soap: A cult classic for good reason, it gets down to business when it comes to disinfecting your hands.
2. Norwex chenille microfiber hand towel: Norwex is a new discovery for me (credit to my mom) and I just love the company, philosophy, and products. All of their microfiber cloths are extremely luxurious and high-quality, and this gentle towel dries your hands so quickly.
3. Mary Kay Timewise 4-in-1 cleanser for normal to dry skin: My go-to cream cleanser that contains resveratrol, vitamin B3, and age-defying peptides. I also love the gentle exfoliating beads sprinkled throughout this face wash.
4. Norwex microfiber body & face cloth: A microfiber washcloth that deeply cleanses your skin by simply adding warm water. I like to use it dry to pat down my skin after cleansing.
5. Thayers witch hazel (cucumber scent): This is my ultimate psoriasis fighting ingredient that I use on my face and on targeted areas of my body during flare-ups.
6. La Coess organic face oil and white jade Gua Sha tool: The most exquisite way to give yourself a quick, at-home facial is with this oil and gua sha tool. This product will give you all the lift on your face and neck, and will probably lower your heart rate in the process. It is so relaxing...
7. Castor oil: A simple and natural way to encourage the growth and health of your lashes and brow hairs.
8. Norwex microfiber face cloth: I use this to remove makeup or dirt and grime, and the slippy texture of this cloth, when used wet, is unbeatable. Plus it magically comes clean after washing even after battling the toughest mascara.
9. Mary Kay Timewise eye cream: I really enjoy my eye creams, and this one is a great moisturizing wrinkle fighter in my book.
10. Mary Kay Clinical Solutions Retinol 0.5 set: Admittedly I am new to retinol, so this will be an experiment. So far I've had no negative effects and will continue to use this following the 8-week guide included.
11. Mary Kay Timewise night cream for normal to dry skin: This is my current favorite night cream because it isn't too light or too heavy. I think the weight of this formula is excellent and I visibly notice a difference in the morning when I use this product.
12. Laneige lip sleeping mask: A great overnight deep treatment that plumps and smooths your lips.
5 Bonus Holy Grail Products:
1. Mario Badescu enzyme cleansing gel: I use this when my skin needs a more "squeaky clean" feel, as opposed to a cream cleanser.
2. Mario Badescu facial sprays: I've used all formulas of these facial sprays and they are wonderful for re-awakening your skin throughout the day or adding a little moisture refresh.
3. Drunk Elephant Protini polypeptide cream: A pricey yet fantastic face cream full of good stuff that evens the skin tone and helps reduce texture.
4. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair cream: A more affordable multi-purpose moisturizer that is gentle and made with simple ingredients.
5. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal mask: This mask is my go-to as a remedy for pretty much any skin issue.

How to Make Plaster Leaves from Silk Leaves | Part 1

This video will detail how to make your own plaster leaves from silk leaves. These plaster leaves are simple to make, but it is a messy ordeal and you have to work quickly because Plaster of Paris sets rapidly. You can build up the plaster in layers to create the thickness and sturdiness that you desire for your leaves. I think this is a great way to convert plain old silk leaves into something...

Macrame Pocket Wall Hanging 💖- DIY Tutorial
Thanks for this video. My final process is to whirl two coats on the finished pot. After I seal the bottom twice get in the weep hole. Thank you 🙏
Where do you get your clear coat?
I unfortunately did not wipe mine down prior to Glossing periodmy terracotta plant was outside for quite a long time and is a bit weatherworn. But it has pictures of things that my children had drawn on it so I wanted to presrve that and I sprayed from the can instead of using a brush. Its the same product that you're using. But As it dries It kind of has white spots in certain areas and I'm wondering if there's any way that I can fix that
Where did you get the pot with the chevron design. It's beautiful!
I didn't even know you could do this! Thank you <3
Can this be used inside the planter?
What about using elmers or tacky glue as coating before painting rather than using Rust-Oleum? Thank you
Thank you. You have some wonderful tips! I found them very helpful and also unique compared to other videos I have seen.
Maravilhoso

Would love to know how your husband made that desk, it’s beautiful.
Would you use the Rust-Oleum with herb pots?
I know your comment is old, but for anyone else wanting to know. No. not with anything you're going to eat.
I just made this , don't need that much cord ... couldn't waste it so I made it a double plant hanger.
Finally a macrame video in English...thanks
Where did you get the rustoleum clear sealer ? I found the big can on line for $38 , but couldn't find it at any hardware or home improvement store locally.
If you're in the US it's at Home Depo.
I pant Tara cotta pot and seal with clear seller. Now I water paint come off help me.

Hi I have very BIG terracotta pots with no glaze on them but I need to seal and paint them with water bast paint. Can you paint on top of this stuff. Please can you help 🙏 .
Thank you for sharing. I've been wanting to know what people use to hook the macrame project to while they are working.
Easy to follow instructions. Thank you for sharing ❤️
Love it!!!
Can this prevent mold and mildew from forming on that flower pots? If not, can you suggest a paint to prevent mold and mildew? Thanks
This is the same issue I am having! Did you ever find a solution? I'm nervous about applying Rust-Oleum to the exterior of my pots!
@@Bailey_B I found a solution. I trashed them lol. The mold took over before I was able to find a solution. Best of luck.
I love you Ares vie
Thank you so very much for wonderfully explaining and showing each detail of this piece! You did it so well, I feel I can make it after just watching your video once, but I will review for my beginner’s mind! It’s just gorgeous with the colors matching up so nicely! I will feel good about making this!
I want to seal my pots before I paint them with acrylic paint, any tips for non gloss? More of a matte? Should I seal them before or after I paint them, or both?
I seal mine after paint
OMGosh! I'm so happy to find your channel. I'll be binge watching all your videos this week. I did macrame in the 70's and just got back into it during the pandemic. I love your energy and your happy and calm demeanor. Your teaching style is soooooo great and easy to follow. I'm your newest best friend. Thank you!
Can you suggest a glaze for terracotta clay?
is there any difference with the ultra cover 2x clear ( same stuff ) but spray ?
Awesome video
👏🌺👍🥰🙏🤗
Is it necessary to seal terracotta pots before painting?
i have te same question
Before I got into plants (and my current hobby of jewelry making), I was paper crafting making cards and journals. This kinda makes me miss it and want to get back to doing it... Thank you for sharing! 💜
Hi! I’m a new subscriber. I found you from a comment you left on Svetlanna’s Firefly in the Room video! I’m new to macrame so I found this really helpful! Thank you for sharing! 💜
Wow
Very informative much appreciated 👏🏽 If I want to paint a pot should I seal it first or paint then seal it ? Also should i apply the sealer over everything I paint or only the inside of the saucer?
Daneka, if you are painting the majority of the pot, I would recommend sealing afterward, but only to protect the paint. If you are only painting a small portion of the pot (for example, a tiny polka dot pattern) you may want to avoid sealing so the pot is still breathable. I would definitely recommend sealing the saucer regardless of what you decide to do to the pot. 😊
Why seal the terracotta if the advantage is it is breathable? Sealing will make it not breathable. If you’re painting the outside, you need to seal inside and out as overtime the paint will bubble up if the pot was only painted outside.
What is your point after all? I have had the same thought as yours about the breath ability of terracotta.
You seal only the saucer not the pot itself. The plant would still "breathe".
Interesting. Thanks Moss & Mirth for sharing this video about seal terracotta saucer, I have a question, after seal with that product from Rust-Oleum (really good), I bought the same, can I cover them with acrylic? the idea is to add color.
Harry, I suspect that acrylic paint would perform just fine over this sealer, although I have not personally tried it. Best of luck to you!
@@MossAndMirth Yes, I also think that it will be fine, thanks for your help and great channel.
Harikasın 🥰🤗👏
Your interior looks so so beautiful! Would you consider doing a house tour? :)
Thanks Ellie! We have an Airstream tour over on my other channel (The Free Renegade) but I will definitely be featuring more of it soon. 😁 Thanks for watching!
@@MossAndMirth thanks for the reply, I will definitely check it out 😊
I love your videos! I feel like I'm right next to you crafting along with you!
😁🥰 So sweet, you don't know how happy that makes me!!
Thanks for the advice! :3 -I can't help but wonder though; if you use this Rust-Oleum stuff to seal the inside of the pot, won't it leach into the soil over time and poison your plant? 🤔
That may be a minor risk over a very long period of time I suppose. I would definitely avoid bottom watering a plant in a sealed pot because that would allow water to flow freely in and out of the pot thus leaching things both directions, but if you top water I think it would be far less of a problem. In my case I only chose to seal the saucer that the pot sits on rather than the pot itself, and I rarely allow water to sit in the saucer as I empty it out right away. Personally, I think that would be the best practice. Thanks for the view and the feedback! 😊
@@MossAndMirth Thanks for your two cents! ☺️ -If you're interested, I recently discovered this stuff that people use to seal their aquariums/ fishtanks with, called 'Everflex Aqua Mate'? (In UK here) I've been using it for the insides and bottom of pots as a sealer. It's hard to spread evenly, but it's like this silicon gel that hardens and is watertight (not just water resistant), and doesn't disintegrate when submerged, and is also fish-safe (and presumably therefore plant-safe) once dry. Still practicing as it's a fiddly process, but it seems promising! 👌
Wow, that sounds very intriguing! I will be on the lookout for that or a similar product in the US. I could see myself using that for a terrarium in the future!! Thanks so much for the feedback! 😁
@@GunterThePenguinHatesHugs THANK YOU SO MUCH 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@MossAndMirth, I do bottom water my plants. And some plants are herbs, so I don't want anything leeching into the soil. What if I sealed the outside of the saucer instead?
Can I use it for the inside of the pot?
You could run the risk of the lacquer infecting your plant, so I would probably avoid that. I think using it on the outside would be a safer bet!
@@MossAndMirth I'm confused, you replied to Ceemarie Jaye that you thought it would work to paint the inside of the pot, but here you're saying it might infect the plant? I'm trying to figure out the same thing - I want to paint the inside of a pot but am wondering if it's toxic and might seep into the soil hurting the plant. If you're able to clarify I would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks for the great video!
Muito difícil vc não pode mandar as medidas tamanho dos fios em português?
What is this suppose to do?
Jannet, if you use terracotta saucers this will help prevent water from seeping through the terracotta and potentially damaging surfaces. 🙂
Beautiful!
Thank you Helena!
Great video! This was so helpful! I wanted to paint an acrylic design but didn’t know how to seal it from cracking over time.
This would be the perfect way to seal in acrylic paint! I have actually thought about trying that myself. Good luck to ya!
How would this work if you did this inside the entire terra cotta pot? Not just the saucer. Wanted some feedback before committing to the purchase.
I bet that could work!
Take a drink every time you hear "terra cotta" lol. All jokes aside, this is a great video and thank you for talking about the benefits of terra cotta pots before just jumping into everything! :D
Lol, thank you Mortessa!
Very fun tour. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!!
