Yes of course you can use glue or tape to get by if you don't feel confident carrying out this fix method ! Drill bit used is 1.5mm , screws are 1.8mm in other words hole cannot be bigger than the thickness on the screws or it won't hold . same philosophy for the nail which is around 1.7mm .
