Hi Ashley 👋 I have never taken returns on Ebay & I feel like It hasn’t affected my sales, if you are already disclosing the measurements it’s up to the buyer to make the call if it fits them or not…also it’s like you are working double when you take returns, list the measurements and still get a return, then you have to re-list the item again. Love your videos, congrats on reaching 7,000 🎉🎉🎉

@restyledbyash I don’t accept returns either. Im not sure if it affects my sales. I do notice i have a good amount of people that will actually reach out and mention I don’t take returns and then actually ask more questions about fit or measurements if i don’t have them. Which i appreciate. So i wonder if people might be more careful when purchasing at least if they see we don’t accept returns. Of course we will have to accept all returns but at least we aren’t out extra shipping if they return for fit. Plus you sell a lot of one of a kind piece so it might not affect your sales as much as many of us that sell more of the basics.

Hey I went to Mackinac Island on vacation years ago. It's a little island that doesn't allow cars. You can walk, ride a horse, or bike. IDK if it's still like that, but as a kid I thought it was the coolest place ever! (I wanted to live in the Little House on the Prairie world and that was as close as I could get... lol)

Brat green (and brat summer) are references to Charli XCX’s album from last year called Brat whose cover was that shade of green. (Also thanks for making me feel young for knowing this despite being a middle-aged lady! 😝)

That Nascar blanket is very cool! I was thinking of setting a vacation message due to the store on ebay lol, but our post office was open and our neighbors cleared our driveway. I offered them some money for it and they kept saying no and refused to take it! So sweet! Good for you not taking returns on ebay, I never accept returns.

I hate to break it to you, but you will take eBay returns. People try it, then the buyer claims an INAD and you get dinged. It’s talked about a lot on the dab pages I’m on for reselling. eBay will force it.

I'm with you, I've thought about getting rid of Ebay all together because their system is such a mess. PM runs so much smoother.

I've just started watching you in the last couple of weeks & I really enjoy your videos. You've got a great personality & how sweet is your kitty & your daughter?! (I know your little one was sleeping) That sweater looks so cute on you & looks so comfy...and I had to start letting myself keep things as well. I was a single Mom as well and I just think that mentality is there. Like it's almost guilt, but it's OK! You work hard, you take care of your babies, so Mama can be rewarded to. And great haul...that patchwork jacket though!!!!

Love the grandpa sweater you kept. I love it. That Paisley is a cute mess. She’s adorable. I’m with you on the returns for fit. Unfortunately, eBay almost enforces returns even if you have them turned off. The buyer can always again unfortunately, make up some other excuse or false claim and you have to take the return and pay the shipping back. That’s one of the best things about Poshmark, is they do not allow returns for fit. Buyers can be so lax and down right lazy, not all of course, about reading descriptions. If measurements aren’t given and you are truly interested in an item, message the seller and ask for them. If the seller doesn’t respond back, move on. That’s what I do. Sellers have a responsibility also to do accurate descriptions which we are human and can miss something on occasion, and I think, my opinion only, that sellers should be required to provide measurements. That would/could avoid a lot of extra messaging and returns. I mean it’s a hassle, and part of business, but it’s not only more for the seller, but for the selling platforms also, especially eBay, because they have to go through the act of refunding the fees back to the seller if there’s a return. No one likes being forced to do anything, but at the same time, if we are using a platform to sell, and paying fees, the sellers should have some input into the policies, not anything extreme, but things to make it smoother for the buyers, sellers, and the platform owners. I hope your no returns works out well for you. I know there are a lot of sellers that don’t accept returns and do very well. I mean, we want the buyers to be happy with their purchases, that’s what we want for ourselves as buyers. None of us are going to be happy, every time. The good thing about a return, as long as it isn’t damaged or something, is that we can re sell it. Wow, I just wrote a book. Have a great week Ashley.

Ashley. The sweater looked good on you. Glad you're keeping it. The only thing about returns on ebay is watch for INADs. Ebay automatically will authorize those. Esp with preloved items. You can fight it but you don't want too many of those. I will watch for your updates. Happy thrifting!

People will still find a way to return an item. And most likely will just open an inad case on you which then you’ll have to pay for the return.

I have a 14 day return and buyer pays shipping for return. I haven't had any returns fingers crossed but I don't sell as much as you either. I have a full time job.

When an item does not have a size, how do you figure that out?

So funny I went to a bag sale at our senior center last Friday and found a patch magic jacket just like the one you found. So so good. Love it.

Aran is a type of sweater - not a brand! Aran Woolen Mills and Aran Crafts are two different brands. I’ve found “Blarney Woolen Mills” before too and they’re still Aran sweaters. Aran sweaters are just their own thing, I think just traditional Irish sweaters made of natural fibers, mostly wool. They all do great so doesn’t really matter.
