Alhamdulillah good to know that Pakistan has not made the strategic blunder of occupying the Wakhan corridor. The first time I heard that idea was from Zaid Hamid few months ago and it baffled me. Pakistan benefits far more by having cordial relations with Afghanistan, otherwise there will be a war of attrition against Pakistan and it will be fully funded by outsiders. Gen Hameed Gul used to call the strategy, "softening up the target". Once Pakistan has been softened up with the war of attrition on its Western borders, a "hot start" high intensity war will be unleashed from the Eastern borders.

If Afghanistan does not recognise the international borders , Pakistan can annex Wakhan to GB .
