Rock Hoist Part II
I have had a great satisfaction watching my build works as expected. There were some apprehensions of this hoist fails miserably and something terrible may have happened. In all I have hoisted a number of rock slabs around the yard until the hoist gave out.
There will be limitations such as the boom should not be spin unless the ground is level. Direct hoisting instead of pulling a rock slab out of the ground.
In part III, I will provide a better review of the hoist from HB.

First part of DIY project. There are misshapes along the way, and it is best to enlist some helps when needed.

Walk-around of go-kart as build contest for 2018 on DIY Go Kart forum. Full build log, comments and pics can be seen at: www.diygokarts.com/vb/showthread.php?t=40001 Special thanks to: homesteadonomics whose video "Off Road Go Kart - How to Build" inspired me to build this supposedly easy go-kart Redbeard Garage for insights to go-kart engine Many other go kart youtuber that I have forgotten to...
What are your measurements to extend the front block past the front axle I like how it’s father out then the original print
which switch is this?
Excellent thank you.
👍👍👍👍👍💯
this is not go-kart, this is utv :)
Va rog frumos sa ma gândesc ca nu
Can you share design drawings/dimensions at a cost or free...
Next👍🥳😘💪
Am I right in believing that for the indicator the Yellow and Green are the positive and black to the indicators negative
ingin sekali memiliki kalau ada uang
this is actually super cool
Mantap bang, saya juga lagi membuat gokart 😁🙏👍
Can you sell me this car for 3000$ please ???

Your area reminds me of Indiana growing up. Nice build I want to build one for my little girl.
Look at this way, at this date and age, there are so many negative around, it's good to leave her with something she can smile. Make sure she knows how much you hate the color she has chosen. I cringe whenever I see that blazing orange on the go-kart.
Just wondering where you found those side mirrors.
What did you use for a brake solution? I'm considering the MCP stuff, but boy is it pricey.
Coooool, Great!!! I love the kart, it is the nicest one I have seen homemade!!! Do you have any plans you could share?
Could the wires of the red button ( lights) be connected to both indicators and act as hazard lights ? (Have all indicators flash at the same time )
Mantap bang
Thanks a million 🤗
Hi what is the think called tha you a adjust to make the lights flash please reply I need one of them thanks

I have the whole process documented on diygokarts forum under New GrandDaddy build
@@emank4866 Nice work ! I'm in process to build it. Can you put the link of your post in diygokarts ? I do not find it in the forum search. Thanks

@@emank4866 Thanks !
With how many volts are you working?
12 volts car battery
WOW! Thank you for your help, Your the Greatest
Your Diagram Help me a lot on this switch, 2 white's is Horn, 2 Red's are the Lights, I just need to know where to connect the 2 Red wires.
I would like to know where do you connect the 2 red wires for the lights at?
Power source red wire to relay. From relay to brown wire from the switch All black wires from lights go to ground from power source 1 set of red wire goes to yellow wire from the switch (using white wire as connector) 2nd set of red wire goes to green wire from the switch (using yellow wire as connector) Yellow or Green wires from the switch indicate left or right signal I hope this help, it has been a while.
One red wire goes to L (+) and the other red to lights it’s the same with the white for the horn. One to L (+) and one to horn. Hope that helps
Great video . I’ve been trying to figure out how to wire this for weeks. Any chance you could share the diagram?
Diagram coming soon, thanks
thank you very much for the diagram! how about the horn and head light?
Any idea how to wire the horn and front lights?
I have used a different switch for head light. For the horn, the remaining wire from the switch can be connected I didn't feel the need for the horn, since the engine is loud enough when It fires up.
Can you please share the wiring diagram with headlight and horn connection.
Very very nice tactical buggy. I love how simple and unique it looks. That towing hook and hood handles make it look heavy duty.
Came in handy when my kart stuck
Here is another video with a different switch on youtube: th-cam.com/video/955MhuMx2yE/w-d-xo.html
I did another one with different switch, here is the youtube link: th-cam.com/video/Lhpg_bK9HJM/w-d-xo.html
Defnitely helps to see all the wiring laid out like this. With the visual end-to-end setup you shared I am not confidently on my way now. Thanks!
I think I saw this build on the DIY Go Karts forum. Awesome looking kart. What's the top speed?
Thank you, it was fun building it. It was build for my 11 year old daughter, so gas pedal is restricted. Top speed with large tread, mud tires and full gas throttle on street, you can push it to 30-35 mph max on a good day. If it was street tires, you can tune it to 40 easily. Still so much to learn, those guys on DIY Go Karts are on another level. I am just a hacker, jack of all trade master of none.
What kind of gauge wire did you use?
I have the same question.
@@TheDezB I tried out this circuit with 18 gauge wire and it worked fine.
Mine didn't come with a flasher relay. Which one do you have?
@@TheDezB www.ebay.com/itm/313053971832 .. That's the one i bought on ebay
It will depend on how far from battery source to your lights. The longer distance the heavier gauge wire. I have used 16 gauge, 18 would be okay.
Five minutes of walking around you could have explained a little or maybe driven it some
I will make another video that explains the kart. Thanks
Saved my butt an just gave me a wiring diagram for the same exact switch system I have without even saying a word. Much appreciated my friend
Share the plans please
It appears to be based off the Spider Karts Granddaddy kart. plans can be had off their site for ~US$50
Yes, base off Spider Kart plan, however it must be changed to fit your requirements such as leg room, scalability, off road and or street use. Go and build it, great learning experience and untold satisfaction
Dear Eman, Can you please send me the plans for the grandaddy go kart? I really don't want to spend 50$ on them?
Do you have a plans?
i'm thinking about building one of these to take out on the Oregon Dunes.
Do it, you can always make more money but experience cannot be bought
How far did you lift the engine up from the frame? Are you using the separate axle with the pillow bearings for the added strength as compared to the forged plate that normally bolts to the motor?
2” x1/4” metal angles, 1/4” x 6” plate to raise the engine and torque drive. I hope that help
Great build, haven't seen one without the roll cage. Would you be willing to post a link to a parts list? Curious to know what shocks, steering pinion, and motor mods you used. All in all, it's a great build. I'm currently sourcing parts for this.
Check out my build at gokartdiy forum. It has all the detailed break down and mod
did you make this street legal
Can you please send my the drivings for that? I would build one Cart for my self.
Lookup spider carts, the Granddaddy. This is a self modified version of that.
nice kart
Thank you Sir.
