Onyx Eyes is a German symphonic/progressive metal band, comprised of Sören Eyes (main founder, guitarist, composer and producer), Marijana Mladenov (vocalist, lyricist and composer), Olga Mladenov (bass), Zorana Lazarević (keyboard) and Mehdi Heidari (drums).
Since December 2023 the band released 6 singles from the upcoming third album.
During the recording of the songs in 2022/23, Onyx Eyes had a cooperation with the drummer Krzysztof Klingbein and bassist Rouven Haliti, as session musicians. Back in 2008, the band released their debut album “Delights and Tears” with the old line-up. Numerous gigs and the tour across Germany have followed. In 2014 the second album “Dö” was released, but due to Sören Eyes’ health issues performing wasn’t possible. Since 2021, Sören is back again and is working on the third album with the new members. “Uudelleen takaisin” or “Back again” in Finnish, is a rebirth of Onyx Eyes, bringing new influences to the symphonic/progressive metal.
