I’m interested, great video by the way
Any ideas for lighting. You did a great job on this video… thank you!
27:33 *here he answers the question posed in the title of the video*
No shoes on the mats. No exceptions!
Hey brother, i recently moved to sugar land and have driven by this place many times… Becasue of this video i think im gonna make the leap and start my jiu jitsu journey
@@fernandoherrera1657 there are excellent gyms in sugarland! I recommend Renzo Gracie Houston. It’s an amazing journey brother, welcome
2:58 - kind of a wrong explanation of choosing LF over S35 formats, I'd rewrite that if I were you. The image quality and positive quirks and features of the available or chosen lenses for the project on one hand and camera's dynamic range and the in-camera features available on the other are the main points of choosing an LF over an S35 camera. I've been working on several commercials and feature films with the LF and others in the past 4-5 years, so I'm not completely talking out of my S. Video looks cute tho.
Mind blowing movie , Mind blowing Keanu
This was awesome - i researched the lighting after watching the film as i was blown away by the cinematography and incredible lighting - your commentary and analysis is 🙌
This seems very CULTISH. And he promoted that dude from a blue belt to purple. NO THANKS. Lauren Mirphy swearing in front of kids after being promoted to black belt? Wtf... And then come to find out that dude is her husband damn near making out. That was weird. The whole thing felt weird.
Is Grim next?
blue belt promoted to brown belt?
I found myself smiling throughout the whole video. I don't know any of you, but found myself watching the whole video, due to Lauren Murphy. Been a fan of hers since her TUF days. Did not know that was her husband! What a pleasant surprise! And the way the video was made and created. The editing, the focus. First class! It really placed me inside the gym watching and getting to hear every word for each promotion. Really cool.
What editing software do you use
Premiere Pro for fast edits! Davinci Resolve for serious color grading
He went from blue to brown???
No purple, it looks like blue but it is not
That's a really gorgeous machine inside-out. Kudos for keeping it in such pristine condition.
Beautiful ❤️😍

Man the algorithm is on my ass. I need to open a gym and YT is suggesting me some really interesting videos.
Great insight and good video. Really enjoyed it!
Amazing video! I just saw you channel as well. Amazing work you have there.
Interested in learning how to put the video content together
Great vid
Wow! That was outstanding.
What are those shoes?
Kane revive recovery shoes😉
Congratulations Conrad!!
Awesome day!
What a great way to do a promotion, especially that you had a little thing to say about every person that made it special. Congrats to everyone and their promotions
Who give them belt? must check this 🤣
Love this guy repping Origin gear.
Same.
Good vid bro but lower the music when people are talking. The war drums music blasting when somone gets emotional is too much😂
Will do! Thanks for the feedback ✊🏽
58 year old purple belt. Started at 51. Never wrestled or any grappling. However, I 've been involved with other sports and martial arts over the years. He is correct on many levels. Have competed in a few IBJJF Master worlds and Pans with some success and some failures. As a Master 6 moving to 7, I stay fit (5' 6' 160lbs) by training four days BJJ and four days in the Gym lifting...When training, I have learned now to drill and roll with higher belts out of self-preservation and keeping my injuries down. I nutruition in alway focused on maintaining a constant weight, and supporting the muscle mass I need as I get older.
51 on testosterone no wonder
Did Tommy at 19:25 go from blue to brown?
I was thinking same thing 😂
@bairnswearingen9775 I know some guys are different but it sure looked like it.
It must be slightly off color, maybe from the camera. But he is standing with the rest of the purples in the line so he must have been purple.
I think his purple belt was just faded. I thought the same thing
This guy looks like Captain America.
Huge RESPECT 🙏💪
I’ve never been to this gym but it is fantastic. How do I know? He knows every kid by name “and” what they do. Great Professor. Great culture. Great family comm. it starts from the top down. Thank you for using your gifts, Sir. That highlighted word before “for most of his life” at 16:09 was authentic. I love it! 😊
ìs being great in martial arts dependant on famous coaches? i feel like everyone at the top is coached by legends vs my gym where even our top intructor is "just" another black belt..
He reminds me of chute from vision quest.
Thanks for the video 🙏. I made some IG reels from this and have mentioned this video but couldn't find your Instagram to link to it. Hope that's ok! George
Absolutely man, glad it’s helpful. @jaeleefilms_
Great interview, interesting comments from Conrad. However, I would quite strongly disagree with the idea that the vast majority of practitioners quit due to ego or mental toughness reasons. The biggest reason to quit, by far, is sustained injuries. Not sure why few videos actually highlight this. What Conrad mentioned here was that he, as a former wrestler with a very strong body already, suffered many injuries in this sport. Imagine a person without that level of strength or wrestling background and how susceptible they are to injury.
That’s a great point, I’ll have to explore the topic of injury prevention in a future interview. Competing can be daunting in this day and age, especially for those without access to quality health insurance, if any at all.
Mentioning 220lbs like it's an achievement lol
Not the Celsius sponsor
That dude who said why say the race 💀 Nobody cares either you do or don't tbh. Keep ut up man!
Much respect!
Why can you not just be a 220 human? Why do you need to specify race?
I gotchu man: Human Being of Unspecified Weight and Race Tries a BJJ Superfight
Why does it matter? Caring so much about some minute detail in a TH-cam Shorts video is wild. Find new hobbies bro
I didn’t even notice he specified race because I was too busy listening to the story and understanding THE MESSAGE behind it…. Grow up people and focus on what matters.
@@eduardoborjas4465 you hella dumb. its in the title. i saw it before i even saw the video.
@@jaeleefilms people would cry if it specified white.
That’s tough 💪
Took me 30 years to find Jiu Jitsu, and I can honestly say that it saved my life. Wasn't until I found it, that I had realized all those years what had been missing. And I cant wait to be a part of a promotion ceremony. But I am in by no means a rush, I'm loving the journey. Within the Dojo, and out.
nice, love to see How to edit
