RAW MTB Descent Off The Cairngorms. The Stuff Dreams Are Made Of!
This was a tiresome route and the first climb up the mountain from base camp was HARD even on an E-bike. I'd suggest get the lift to the top if you don't have an E-bike and go from there. The wind alone will destroy you otherwise.
You will have to hike a bike some sections on the way round!
Once at the top of the first peak it is really enjoyable and the views are unreal!

SOLO Scotland Roadtrip Part 1 | Tarland Trails, Abandoned Bunkers and Rooftent Living. 600 Miles!

Part 1 to an epic Scotland bike trip I took. Stopping at awesome MTB riding spots like Tarland trails and the Cairngorms all while living on the road. Necessary journey to hit these places as they are so inaccessible and off the beaten track. Enjoy!!
Not Be Doing This One Again In A Hurry. Scafell Pike - The Slog
มุมมอง 2.3K5 หลายเดือนก่อน
8.5hrs. 41k Steps. 3.5k calories burned. 1014m climbed. Was one hell of a day and not to be undertaken lightly. Scafell isn't much taller than Helvellyn but jeez its so much harder. We took the route from Seathwaite which was only 21km door to door but honestly way harder and way longer than Helvellyn.
Hiking Helvellyn! Her watch really said in sub 1 hour from Thirlmere
มุมมอง 1475 หลายเดือนก่อน
Good One this I enjoyed it even though though this route seems a bit straight up I think we did it in about 3.5 hours up and down with regular stops and a snack and look round on top. At 951m Helvellyn has 360 views and we could actually see the coast over towards Whitehaven. Highly recommend! Enjoy this one! 🤙
Conditions almost unrideable at Hamsterley. Clips of the more built stuff..

I tried some off pistey trails but it was just slop, slippery and puddles and I dont enjoy that. So Here are some clips of some of the more built tracks on parts of the red and black routes around the forest. Enjoy.

I managed to purchase an E-bike a week after new year to then proceed to injure myself so I couldn't ride. I could only gaze longingly at it in the living room for weeks. 😭 Anyway here we are back out and the New #haibike feels awesome!

มุมมอง 3.5K11 หลายเดือนก่อน
The hill was totally frozen over but I made the best of a short day at Glentress and the new trails there. So much work has gone in and it has a real bikeparky feel now. The trails are awesome and its great we have something like this now up this part of the UK. Will be back soon!!
FIRST FREEZING SOLO WILD CAMP OF 2023. Doing It With Basic Gear. Oh and a new tent..
มุมมอง 654ปีที่แล้ว
I ended up solo on a wild camp to the lake district trying to avoid the weather and find a nice spot before it got dark. I did have Zeus with me on this one though. He was great in the end. It was meant to be the coldest weekend of the year and boy was it. The temperature got down to -2 and that is probably the coldest iv camped to date. Trying a new tent on this one as well which I was itching...

Looks like the middle of nowhere 🔥 Supernice trail.
@@JasonChambersPhoto that's the best part!
Which Cairngorm? Done a few myself...unreal mountains! Subbed 👍
Awesome thanks! 👊 Up actual Cairn Gorm from the upper carpark and attempted Ben Macdui from this side but realised it was was no possible on the bike so I went as far as I could, turned back and went round the East side back to the car in a loop. Will definitely be back!
@isitTrekkable I have done bein bhuird and sgor gaoith which are brilliant....got some vids on the channel if you wanted to see what they were like 👍
@shannonmtb Nice! I will definitely check them out. Show me the ropes before I attempt 😅
@@isitTrekkable 🤣 all rideable which is the best bit
@shannonmtb Sweet. Yeah the hike a bike sections of this route were brutal with an ebike
Ironically I reference being paranoid about the camera angle all of the time 😂
Gutted about the strap in this. When I watched the footage back I couldn't believe it but never mind. Still felt I should upload so apologies!! 🙏
brilliant shots.. always tape the straps!
@weekendbikingwarrior360 😅👍
just been up two days ago with my granson and we loved it defo going back (like you its two and a half hours drive)The cafe took cash all day till about four then card only Thanks for the video
@thepainterdude1 Good times! Il be back up there soon as well
Not much of it is there
@davidcoomber4050 well made when I was there but Rome wasn't built in a day
Nice video mate what bike you riding? Thanks.
@@Ash_Bird_Lover thanks mate! It's a Haibike nduro7 ebike
The one drawback to SP is that it's mega busy.
Yes it was at the top!
i have one. its a fat beast and hammers over everything. keep an eye in too battery mount, the 2 m4 tiny bolts will vibrate loose. a bit of loctite cures it. the deemaxs will need spokes tightened often and it benefits from a 220 rotor up front. enjoy. ❤🎉
Awesome cheers for the advice! Il keep an eye on both.
I watched 30 seconds and paused. I won't watch the rest of the video simply because I don't like the top of the head camera mount. It makes the run look slow and uninteresting. Invest in a chest mount.
Point taken cheers I have bought some different mounts now so will try them out 👍
To be fair I get where he gets it from
The place has been crap for 5 years take a fortune for parking nothing goes back couple of banners at Danny's place and two rude parents more crap go somewhere else anywhere
Cant comment on the parents but I know what you mean about upping the price for what seems is the odd bit maintenance here and there but nothing really new. Cabin was built a while ago but other than that. I was referring here to the other trails around the forest than specifically Danny's just to say ha.
This was a good ride out though. Getting more comfortable on the rig. Weird one is on tracks that a faster like this you top out the ebike and you end up fighting it all the way down for more speed. Maybe I will try turning it off next time before dropping in.
Quality seems down since I have uploaded this one let me know if you see the same 👌
Can I ask your height and what framze size you are riding? do you have longer legs and shorter torso?
I'm 6ft2" on a good day and riding an XL. If I had to say probably the other way around...
I think I was at Cademuir Hill that day. Sad that's it has been so consistently wet that I can recall the day so many weeks ago.
I know its been soul destroying! Injured now as well so cant even get out in the wet 😭
@@isitTrekkable Swift recovery.
Really fun quick sesh on the bike today actually. Ended in disaster but ran into some wee shredders that came a long way!!
The lower taster trails just need more time to settle in, I was up a few weeks ago fixing damage to some berms and adding extra drainage. They were opened too early hopefully the fixes will hold up with that part of the hill being so wet.
Ah good stuff then. Yeah I can imagine they would rip up quickly in the soggy weather with a lot of traffic. They seemed in good condition for this one though so thank you for your service! 🫡
Horrendous lighting for the video in this one sorry about that. Otherwise a great day out at Glentress I highly recommend!!
Late to the party good vid ! \,,/ you said the jinx words LAST TRAIL :O
Thanks! 😂 Yes the old 'one more'
Loved this one even though it was a cold one! I am definitely going to upgrade some of my gear as well. Any suggestions on good packable cold weather bags and sleeping matts give me a shout!
Ya dude that looks sick but make sure you get a vid 😉
File may get corrupted 😂

Fair play for trying man! some of those tracks a very dificult. Nice riding.
Thanks bro!

I couldn't take the credit they live on a farm I live next to but I pass all the time 😅🐎

have fun
Good music JB
Not been there or Cauldron snout since a school trip at Middleton camp in the 70’s Great memories!!!
Haha you will have to get back over there one nice weekend. You have to buy a ticket for High force now (only £3) but a tip is to park in the layby next to low force and walk along 👌
great video.. I'm off up there tomorrow.. Hope to find some of the off piste stuff!
Awesome mate I hope you had a good day out! Good thing about Hamsterley is you can just get a bit lost in the trees and find some hidden gems without actually getting lost 😅
big things ahead man !
Yes lad! 🙌
