    The ‘argument’ that "the human species has to go on, no matter what" really gets on my nerves and under my skin. I mean who will slave away their lives pointlessly for the 1% ? Who will fill the cemeteries up and create the need to build more cemeteries ? Who will slaughter each other in wars for the 1% while the 1% is laughing their asses off from their palaces ? Who will fill the streets with the homeless ? Who will fill up the hospitals ? Who will scam the suckers ? Who is going to be extorted ? Who will complain about all of this ? Who will leave behind a ‘legacy’ of repulsive looks/genetics, tombstones, genetic mutations, diseases, deformations, debt, generational curse, being a complete failure ? Who will eat/drink/inhale the poisoned food-water-air? Who is going to make/keep filthy rich the industrial complexes of the world such as a pharmaceutical/medical/street drugs/military industrial complexes ? Who is going to be brainwashed/indoctrinated by the public/private indoctrination camps ? Who are going to be the failure/losers of the world (99% of the world) ? Who will invade/migrate to other ‘countries’ ? Who will force their offspring into various religions and commit atrocities in the name of their religion ? Who will commit genocide, democide, ethnic cleansing ? Who is going to complain about all of this ? WHO ????

    Good episode. Natalists always mention legacy as their main reason for having offspring. What legacy? How many of us can be genuine and forthcoming with ourselves. There are not many that have a so-called "legacy". Think about some of the most revered figures in history like Socrates, MLK, Malcolm, Nikola Tesla, Thomas Edison, Ben Frank, etc. Are their kids ever mentioned? There is not always a silver line in the suffering, and not all will see this life as a blessing. The pain is always more impactful than pleasure, and jealousy and boredom are the galvanizing factors.

    Why are men having this conversation when women are the ones who contribute like 90% to procreation? Men only contribute with their sperm, women do everything else, so it's not men's place to be pro- or anti-natalist.

  • @moralitywithoutaddiction797
    @moralitywithoutaddiction797 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Around the age of 16, I vowed never to inflict the kind of suffering I experienced on my children. Initially, I wasn't against procreating. I just wanted to guarantee that my children wouldn't suffer like I had. Despite all of the scenarios I imagined that guaranteed my children wouldn't suffer like I had, they could suffer something comparable - I could get run over by a bus, rendering my guarantees as useful as a chocolate fireguard. I began to question why I felt it necessary for them to suffer at all (thirst/hunger/boredom/physical discomfort/shame/guilt/injuries/illness/the continued harassment of having to attend school/work and suffer its related torments for 60+ years/frustrated desires/heart break/grief/the torment of the knowledge of one's own mortality, the process of dying etc). I asked myself why I wanted to procreate. Why does _anyone_ voluntarily intentionally procreate? As far as I can see, it's a method to cope/hope/derive meaning/purpose in one's life. Given that I found other ways to achieve these things, and that many other people in society appear to be content leading child-free lifestyles (indicating that they also found other ways to achieve these things), why can't everyone else? They can. Is it therefore ethical to use (abuse and kill) one's children for this purpose when there are alternatives?

    37:22 I find it very funny that people mention the be fruitful and multiple verse in the bible. But do yall even ask yourself, why Adam and eve was created or why the world was created in the first place? Of course not. That takes too much analytical thinking... Why yall never mention Ecclesiastes 4? It's in the very same bible the be fruitful and multiply verse is in... Ecclesiastes 4: Again I looked and saw all the oppression that was taking place under the sun: I saw the tears of the oppressed- and they have no comforter; power was on the side of their oppressors- and they have no comforter. And I declared that the dead, who had already died, are happier than the living, who are still alive. But better than both is the one who has never been born, who has not seen the evil that is done under the sun.

    There is a pervasive assumption that suffering will always yield something positive and this is not true. So many people literally suffer and die immediately afterwards.. what did the gain? So many men and women are walking around with trauma and mental anguish that they either bury deep down or act out on each other. You really have to evaluate your morality if you think its ok to continue populating people in a world which causes so much permanent damage to people. Optimism and hope seem great on the surface but you have to accept that most of the time its actually delusion.

      @@thecrow4597 Lol no, that's not how antinatalism works. It's about preventing harm to NEW LIFE aka newborn children by not bringing them into this world since we know its full of suffering. Its not about the people who are already here. If you are already here then best you can do is not have kids and live your life to the fullest. Learn about these topics before making silly comments like this...

      @@artorias-24 This is what happens when people don't even understand the criticism they are met with or the issues with their own arguments. I know what Anti natalism is, I'm showing you the philosophical inconsistencies of that stance. Saying that you should live your life to the fullest while stopping new life is an axiomatic no sequitur. Not committing suicide is an affirmation that continuing to experience life's sufferings is better than non life. Which is a refutation of antinatalism. You have to justify the claim that new life is not worth suffering, while continued life is worth suffering. You, or no one else, can do that.

    • @antinatalistwitch111

      How are u "stopping" new life? By not allowing yourself to be creampied/nutting in some vagina... Hahaha... LOL.... The non existing lives have 0 survival instinct/Self-preservation. Self preservation is thought to be universal among ALL LIVING organisms. WE ARE LIVING ALREADY, which is why we self preserve. I have suicide ideation daily!!! If i end myself, I will hurt my family, if I never existed, they would be oblivious to my existence....Don't know why this is hard for you to comprehend. If you look up the stats of suicides and suicides atempts for 2024 alone, we are already at 50k. Even biological parents take their own lives, leaving their kids behind... @@thecrow4597 we can not even discuss healthy self deletion methods online without being shut down, regulated or censored... If life was so great why do we need suicide prevention, mental help (therapy) meditation, religion, alcohol, drugs, and other coping mechanisms?!?!?! People not existing don't need to cope! Not all kids. Be honest many are a cursed. The proof is in the news/world news. Antinatalism is beginning of wisdom and the beginning of the ending of ALL human suffering. Besides, most ppl can't afford children and this life isn't for everyone and the only one who can decide it for someone is the living. I'm stuck in the middle of this bc I am a antinatalist parent Some ppl if not most don't like playing the game (it's unfair) esp if they are losing thier minds and money through scams. Ecclesiastes 4:1-3 came from God in which God seems to side with antinatalist. God destroyed it biblically. It doesn't matter to me one way or the other if you have children or not. Great conversation esp coming from two bright young black men. I could be wrong but i doubt it that the natalist live for the money, sex, fun that can be found in some circles in life. That's the beauty of life for some but not everyone was born at the right time and place and can't enjoy the 3 pleasures as well as the necessities of life ; food, sex and sleep more or less. Enjoying these can easily cause a person to turn a blind eye. See no evil, hear none. We have a long, long way to go before we mature. We are barely out of the jungle. George Carlin. Peace be upon both of you brothers and im not mad at either. God they say give us freewill.

      I know you mean well but this can be considered to be a selfish thing to say. You are implying that it's okay to use people (kids) in your own selfish goal of 'personal development'.. what you leave out of the discussion is that another person might not want to be part of making you a greater person. Your child might also go through incredible suffering in an existence you forced upon them. I hope you can see where I'm coming from.
