The Only Foreigner At the Vietnamese Restaurant 🇻🇳
First I would like to apologize for the subtitles they will be a bit chaotic in this one.
I played a game of soccer when I came to the realization that that was my first 7v7 soccer game EVER and I was well out of my league. We went on to go have some food and drinks at a local Vietnamese restaurant across the red river where we ate local cuisines and broke bread. Overall they were very hospitable, respectable, good hearted people and I had an amazing time.

I went to Ugbo Street in Tonda, Metro Manila to check out the food market and found a very wide variety of food and shops. While I was there I think I was the only foreigner in the area. When you are in Hanoi, see the “ Water Puppet Show “. It’s unique and only in Vietnam. It’s a different kind of show. Thank you for sharing this beautiful video. From your videos I know more about my country. I am Vietnamese who lives in Canada. I left the country when I was young , therefore,I didn’t know and see much of VN. I was born in HoChiMinh city. During the war, we were not allowed to go to the north. I only know the north from my parents stories. They are from the north. Thanks again. Enjoy your adventures and stay safe.

Tyree, I watched your videos and it’s quality videos but if you really want to get me and others to quickly subscribe to your channel you need to greatly reduce the amount of time you focus the camera on yourself. People who are yet to visit the country where you are would like to see more of the street attractions and the way of life of the people where you are not your face most of the time. You speaking as you do the video is very great and informative but focus the video on the streets and the people more and less on you. Hopefully you take my advice and grow your channel.

Tondo is one of the most notorious places in Manila, or used to be. Probably the last place I'd advise a tourist to go LOL. Used to be a lot of gang wars and the like over there.
You must be talking about when I went to Malabon. I agree some of Tondo is sketchy for sure
@@TyreeTheTraveler Nope. I'm not sure how it is now (I've heard about Ugbo being a food spot) but Tondo used to be known for being "dangerous," because there used to be a lot of crime and such in that area, I guess like a ghetto-type thing. We would always be warned not to go there alone. It's called, I think, "the most dangerous slum" in the Philippines. It used to be (not sure now) one of the poorest areas of the city and was known for petty crimes and gang violence.
It’s my understanding that the southern part of Tondo has been a slum area to avoid. But around Ugbo it seemed nice.
@@TyreeTheTraveler oh, maybe that's right. Not too familiar with the area. Am a Pinay but have never been to Tondo. But there were a couple of folks in your video that seemed to get too close for comfort 😂

Pulling the horns is the signal “ I am here “ in VN. This way they can avoid accidents. Good egg coffee has a tea spoon of rhum or whiskey added. They made this egg coffee at the original coffee shop where this created. You have to request adding alcohol. Go to Giang coffee shop in old quarter and you will understand the idea of egg coffee.
