    Hi Jo, great video. You are doing us a noble service. I wanted to know, do you have any videos about recommended websites to buy cheaper groceries online - other than the mainstream shopping centres like coles, woolies, spudshed and aldi Consider me a new subscriber!

    Wow, this clip was from shortly before Lisa left the show? Did you notice any tension while you were on set with her and Karl? You don't have to answer if you don't wish to, I was just curious. Thanks for uploading these clips, I'm a U.S.-based fan of Karl and Lisa and find them absolutely hysterical and cute together.

    Ha! I imagine they have only 100 of those premium products, just to bring in you in then the retailers just flog all there terrible cheap nasty stock like cheaply made runners and sweat shop sports wear that, while you save 80% it falls apart after six months. Shopping psychology - fear if not grabbing a deal.

  • @davidedwards3361
    @davidedwards3361 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    We have to pay for GST, Goods and Services Tax. That is fair. BUT, if we are to pay a GST, shouldn't the government be providing goods or services? Hell, they even want other people to collect the money for them. So in reality, we have to pay 10% of the purchase price for NOTHING. The government does nothing but sit back and count it's income. Well, if I have to pay this GST, I want some goods or services, that is only fair.

    • @pkerry12

      Retailer want to have full control over the market and this destroys healthy competition which means all prices will go up, instead of down.

    Thing is, it wont. Aldi Didnt, Cotsco hasnt, and aldi with its shit chinese made products that have an ignorant idiot cult following... All somehow blind of the terrible quality or products, goods and foods. Yeah the company might be german but they buy stock like every other retailer in Australia. Its costs big money to bring stock into Australia. You cant have cheap Australian products on sale, you either pay less and see the money go overseas or you pay more and keep the money here. However trying to tell an idiotic aldi shopper just because the company is german doesnt mean their management, products or tactics are any better than any other slave driving supermarket in this country.

      @Comeonpeoplepipedown 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Awesome insight, how's your supermarket chain going? I mean, you're such an expert you can't be just some know-it-all keyboard warrior right? PS. Aldi already has 12% of the market of AU$100B... Tens of millions of Australians don't agree with you...

    • @CovidConQuitTheCensorship
      @CovidConQuitTheCensorship 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @J Rider - I digress and suggest you're not such an expert either. Who are these Aldi consumers/customers? They would be predominantly Asian people given that my area at least is mostly Africans and Asians, the local Aldi store looks to have that customer base. I don't know anyone who actually shops there and I certainly don't. They're totally useless with no variety, a massive disappointment after all the talk/hype about 'super stores' ?? Super stores my arse. I went in to our tiny store to look for toilet cleaner and there was one product with no choice of fragrance. People are very individual and discerning, at least Australian people are, and price + variety is key, but these new stores won't be competition for Woolworths and Coles or even IGA, not unless you're Asian, Indian or African. We may as well just hand our country over to them

    I wanted to send someone a gift that I can purchase off eBay. It was cheaper to buy the item and get it send directly to them ( purchase price and postage from China, maybe $2.00) than it was to get the item and post it myself. Australia Post charge to post the item...$7.50.

    Businesses will have no choice but to join Amazon. Once they all sign up, let the bloodbath begin. They will be competing so fiercely I'm sure half will go broke leading to more. You can't stop a country ruiner like Amazon. The measly few employees which Amazon is set to employ will be trivial compared to the thousands of businesses which will close down because of them. It's happened in the U.S. now it's our turn.
