At least he's honest
Saw the 5.0, automatic subscriber
It’s pretty nice!
You've been busy!
Always!
I saw somewhere a while back where they removed all the teeth from the geill and just had the center bar. Interesting look
I’ve seen that as well. Agree its interesting!
Hey, my dad‘s car was also there too. That’s really cool that you went to and we drove around in my dad‘s car.
It was a great show!
Wow Uncle Jim. Pretty good video here. 19K views. Look at you guys go !!!
Thanks!
Been there at least 20 times. The Cookie Lady has the best cookies.
Agreed!
Great video and thanks for not adding any goofy music to it and letting the cars do the talking
Glad you liked it!
Good video !!!
Thanks!
I would’ve just kept it so you can use the electric wiper’s there so much better than those vacuum wipers
It may get converted at a later date however the vacuum wipers are working fine for now.
Well done. Fun to see it finished up.
Thanks Jay!
Very nice Nomader! Hope to see it up c!ose next week!
Can't wait!
Nice paint job!
Thanks!
Truck is looking mighty fine! Ready for Back to the 50's. Also the Leo Kottke/Johnny Cash mix music was cool.
Thanks 👍
Fun to watch!
Thanks Tim!
Well done Jim. Lots of work and fun to see the process. Are you sub teaching @ McKinley? If you are - I bet they sure appreciate you being willing to do that. Looking forward to your next video.
McKinley and Roosevelt. Last week I conducted the 6th grade orchestra, I don’t play an instrument! It was fun?!
I’m friends with this famous TH-camr!
Really???
@@NomaderGarage I don’t know.. Maybe 🤷🏻♂️😅🤣
Just curious, what size paint booth did you use? I just pulled the trigger on the 28 footer. I’m getting ready to paint a 67 firebird. I don’t want to deal with the hassle of prepping the garage. I watched your video a couple of weeks ago and after much debate pulled the trigger tonight. Just watched it again and started thinking I may need a bigger one. Was it cramped while you were spraying?
My booth is 23’. It was a little tight with the big wagon but workable. I would think 28’ painting a 67 firebird would be fine. Good luck!
very nice result!
Thank you!
big project, and a great crew to help
It does help in certain situations to have a bunch of kids around!
I would never undertake anything like this. I become frustrated too easily. :). The wife and I really enjoyed watching. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it! It does occasionally require suspension of better judgement!
Lots of work Jim - Wow! Like the marshmallow stick too! Happy New Year!
Thanks, you too!
Very nice job
Thank you!
Great DIY effort. Well done.
Thank you very much!
Great work! I’m looking at that booth to paint my 57 2-door post. Do you have enough width to paint the whole car at once or do you need to offset it and spray each side separately?
It’s tight but was able to manage. A foot more on either side would have been nice. I have to keep in mind that the wagon is probably the biggest car I will paint in the booth.
@@NomaderGarage I see they have several sizes available. Which one did you go with?
It’s 23’ long
Hey mate what size booth was it as I’m trying to order one myself
It’s 23 feet long, about 8 feet high, and about 9 feet wide. What I learned was to set up a small table in the small room and bring in anything you’ll need to do the job i.e. paint, measuring cups, etc. That will cut down on the number of trips outside the booth and contaminates that likely enter going in and out.
Bad as it is that is only a temporary fix to a worsening problem I hate to say. Only one way to fix that car right and that’s a frame off restoration with the body chemical dipped and then complete metal work to remove all the rot. It will only get worse from the inside out again. Seen this happen repeatedly. Best of luck..
Thanks for your input!
I agree the solution you described is the best solution. I’m compelled to ask at what cost. If a frame off, body dipped, nicely painted solution costs 30k plus, does that make sense on a car that’s worth 22-25k in my market? I’m thinking no. If my repair lasts 10 years, which it should given that it will be occasionally driven on nice days, and the cost I have into it is paint, I’ll be good with that!
Jim im 8 now
That’s great, happy birthday!!!
Good job!
Thanks!
I use to have a nice 57 Chevy belair station wagon growing up, it was yellow... yours will look nice when finished! Lots of work getting it where you want it to be, thanks...
Yes it’s a lot of work. I like it when they’re done!
I sand down , weld new panels out , new metal , put in.
Dad's 56 ford victoria. New rockets & panel need , restoration offer the frame
Sharp class chev
We had the body off the frame restoration cost it nice
Awesome job 😎
Thanks 😁
👍
Looks like new!
Thanks!
bummer you accidentally backed into your daughters Explorer, the repair looks great. And I am pretty sure she was driving the Mustang as a backup?
No no not the Mustang. Although I trust her driving abilities it’s just that….karma has a way of getting even.
@@NomaderGarageby karma do you mean she renames herself karma for an hour and purposely backs into a pole
Exactly!!
I'll let you back into into my Jeep ,if I can I drive the mustang for a couple weeks! Lol😂
Ha! The answer is NO!😁
Is this the Vevor 23x13x8.5 booth per your review on their site? Im thinking about purchasing it and online,it says the isolation chamber (little room) is removeable. Is that actually the case? The wagon and that blue turned out beautiful.I've got a 50 2door chevy sitting in the shop needing a little love. Thanks
That’s the size booth I bought but the vestibule isn’t removable in my model. The vestibule is nice because you have to go through 2 doors to get to the paint area. It’s a bit if a hassle but it helps keep the paint area cleaner especially with bugs. Good luck with your project!
@NomaderGarage thank you sir!
good job on a nice car
Thanks!
Nice work.
Thanks!
i ordered RTX for my ls swap bel air it will took 4 months i found it with good discount from 1595$ to 1415$ i cant wait to get my hands on it 😍
Very nice!
@@NomaderGarage thanks! can i ask you what your interior color called? i know its blue 😂 but does it have name or paint number? i want to change my body and interior colors to blue!
It’s a cars inc kit including seat cover, door panels, additional material to cover rear wheel housing, etc. I bought it from Classic Industries #TF100169 and TF101169. Hope that helps!
Really Fun. Well down Jim and gang!
Thanks Jay, we had fun making it!!
Wow ! That is surely a keeper. Beautiful car. Great job !
Thanks! 👍

Thanks!

Well done Jim and the rest of the gang. Love the portable paint room. The car looks great. Really like the blue color too.
