I've said it before. I'll say it again. I love breakfast, so when I was told about the incredible breakfast sandwiches at GoodHatch in South Philly I had to go. I was not disappointed. Fresh eggs and everything done right. I tried the Ultimate Sammies and their Breakfast Burrito. So much flavor in both of them.

Took a short drive over to Pennsauken NJ to visit Mama's Meatballs and Pizzeria. The spicy meatball parm sandwich was off the hook! The Pizza was spot on. At one time if you wanted a great Philly cheese steak, you had to go to Philly. Mama's is on my list of Jersey places where you can get the greatness of the Philly cheese steak.

My first video with Jack's Donuts was back in 2022. Jack's is one of my favorite places to go. Friendly, Reasonable Prices, and Great Food. So I made a return visit for their FAT JACK breakfast sandwich. I was surprised by their cheese steak. It's not a Philly cheese steak but they added their own little twist and I really did enjoy it.

I used to live at 10th and Tasker and Cosmi’s was my spot! A couple months back I cruised by and grabbed a South Philly Italian. They also put their fries in a paper bag so they don’t get soggy. Definitely a must try spot!

Carmela’s is a great stop. Great food. If you are in the NE again check out Macaroni’s. It’s right from the old country and a throwback you’ll really like it.
I decided to treat myself to their Italian hoagie and I have to say I was disappointed. I found the prosciutto so salty that I had to pull about half of it off the sandwich. The soppresetta was kinda spicy so I took some of that off too. I added the condiments to my liking and bit in. The sandwich was not delightful. After you eat something you anticipated and paid a hefty price for, most people want to feel contented and satisfied. I just felt let down and sorry that I spent the money on something so basic.
Prosciutto is salty. Soppresetta is spicy. It’s supposed to be. Sounds like that sandwich is just not for you. Thanks for watching.
Try Mama's Cheesesteak on Belmont Avenue in Bala Cynwyd. Best cheesesteak hands down.

There was NEVER a time when you could only get a good cheesesteak in So Philly. Many corner stores and delis in all parts of the city were good 50 years ago. Places like Chat ‘n Chew and Mary’s in West Philly, Overbrook Pizza, etc were great 50 years ago. Try the Pizza steak at Overbrook Pizza. The other places are long gone.

@@nickylance7951 Many inventions continue to be inferior at the source of the invention. If you’re asserting Pat’s was ever good… 🤪 Same for Anchor Bar in Buffalo, they invented hot wings but almost no one considers them to be superior.
Of course Pats was good. At the time they were the only thing around. Today there are much better places to go. You don’t stay in business that long if you suck. It’s all subjective anyway. By the way. Thanks for watching cuz.

Does that explain why Pat’s and Geno’s still do good business, or is it just that a lot of people in this country think the worst crap is good because they’ve never had good…it’s marketing. Pat’s has been stealthily promoted my entire life, as far back as Howard Cosell promoting them in the 70s. No, Pat’s was never much more than edible.

Have been eating those hoagies for over 50 years and the only thing that has changed is the layout of the store. Awesome hoagie, never had a jersey mikes but can’t believe it would be as good as Ricci’s hoagie.
