I’ll take a look at the playlists but I think they order themselves. At least I haven’t done anything special for them. I’ll also try and be more mindful of background noise, but it sometimes can’t be helped! I’m a billion percent self-conscious of drinking (gulping sounds) whole recording lol. Oh well!

If it helps, I just use a Hollyland Lark M2’s. I like the wireless aspect of it because then I don’t have a microphone in the way all the time.

I do. I am a permanent GM for my kids game, so I try and get my player from solo stuff. Currently I am in a Starforged campaign.

Your tattoos are great btw. What do they mean?

@@uid360 Oh thanks for noticing. :) On the hands are bindrunes copied from God of War; references to power and strength. On my ring finger is a wedding band; hand says "strong arm," connects wedding band to the sword. The arm is my childrens' and wife's name opposite their birthdays. The runes are dethek, dawrvish. The sword was the artist being amazing at what she does.

Where HAVE you seen the name before? (My) Stilton's dog companion's nam is Faustus - same name as a Thief in my at-home table for 2 years running now. I'm sure he'll be thrilled to hear. ;)

Well buckle up buddy. Two more episodes are que'd up and no WW in sight yet! The oracles have put me on quite a detour. Hopefully it will put Stilton in a better position when he finally does make it in there - going in solo at level 1 is probably a recipe for disaster.

Agreed! I've tried twice before to leverage W&W onto my table, and am currently on my third attempt! Fourth, if you include this solo play!

Ultimately, we can't really be critical of how people enjoy their hobbies behind closed doors, can we? Having fun = being successful in this hobby. But my heart bleeds for all the session-0 prep that never gets over the hump into session-1+, is all. I hope my half-sarcastic remarks didn't come across the wrong way!

@@inclinedeclinegaming2541 I agree with both points here. I believe that many of the session-0 preps was not intended to be left to whittle away in the void and that it leads to many of us feeling like we have not accomplished what we set out to do. If you are left with a feeling of duty after your prep, it might not be play after all. I must admit that preparing something for myself which never becomes anything feels way better than when I prepare something for a group only to have the session be infinitely postponed and the excuses being delivered on the day of the game. Thanks for the content, it's very calming to listen to you.

Massive relief there I was afraid not doing the paperwork would get the retcon hung up.

It's actually a modification of another game, "Cairn," which is wrapping up kicking its 2nd edition. Runecairn feels very different by having a lot more combat rules, and dark souls-inspired mechanics.

Haha, not a fan of traditional initiative rolls and a staggered order, but admittedly this session was all over the place! To be clear, our Initiative houserule is it's a DC12 Dex check. Pass = go before enemies; Fail = go after; Nat 20/1 is Adv/Disadv on your action.

I played more and more Into The Odd-style games (most recently Chris McDowalls excellent, excellent upcoming Mythic Bastionland) and having not to track individual initiative or skipping the whole roll-to-hit part felt so relieving! Cant recomment it enough!

Solo gameplay definitely puts me past my comfort zone for gaming, but I'm enjoying it a lot too! I think cy_borg is my favorite of the 'borgs.

I agree. Mythic is a good read for setting up a good mindset/strategy for doing solo play, and parts of it can be leveraged without using all of mythic.

This video is pretty old and memory is getting a little fuzzy at this point. Chances are HIGH that we got something wrong because 1) we were learning the game as we played and 2) the night was running a little longer and we were getting tired. That said, I'd refer to the 7-step Attacks instructions on page 8. Step 6 is subtracting target's total Armor score and step 7 is deal remaining damage. It's deducted from Guard (Gd) first and excess to Vig. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

One thing I just noticed (which our group also got wrong): I think feats like "Deny" can only be used by knights, not by any creature. So the carrion storks in the beginning of your adventure were not able to used it.

Oh, good catch! The Feats are exclusive to Knights… it’s probably a really big deal if anyone else is using them. Certainly not some punk ass vultures or whatever. Maybe the Myth monsters?

@@inclinedeclinegaming2541 Special enemies get one out of three feats they can use. But I'm not sure if they have to be humanoid.

Sorry for the delayed response! The dice is rolled on "Dice by PCalc" and the writing app was Goodnotes with the Dark Fort sheets imported as a template. Both are available widely across apple devices. Hope this helps!

Hi Sam! When entering a new room in Dark Fort, there are a few steps to take. I believe the order is to roll 2d6 for the room shape, d4 for doors in the room, and then a d6 to determine what is inside the room. Some results include encountering monsters, divided into "weak" and "strong" monsters, and you roll a d4 to see which monster on a given table you encounter.

Weak Monsters / Goblin/ 3 points, d4 damage, 6 hp. 2-in-6: Carries a rope What do I have to do with these 2-in-6? Has something to do with finding items I think.

@@samcha-rc7525 Oh yes, I see! Roll a d6 for those and on a (1 or 2)-in-6 it happens. I.e., 2-in-6 chance of carrying rope; roll a d6 and on 1-2, it has a rope you pick up.
