But a couple things please turn the music down because I can barely hear you, and when you're walking around stores go a little bit slower. But I absolutely love you❤

Have you been to Golightly's in North Richland Hills?

I visited Genesis Thrift on Friday, and it was SO busy! They seem to do a great job separating our the designer clothing items and had some great brands (e.g. St. John, Rag and Bone, Eileen Fisher, etc). I did think their non-designer items were a little overpriced but not unreasonable. They were super busy, so I'm guessing a lot of folks saw this video 😂 Same with Chocolate Secret- I visited them also and tried some of their delicious chocolates. They said they had also been busy! They too are a little spendy, but since they make everything in-house, I get it. Their chocolates are delicious and beautiful. It was a nice little treat. Thank you for sharing these great local businesses!

I'm not sure I'd call Dolly Python's true thrifting in a monetary sense. Boutique thrifting, maybe?

New subscriber! Dallas native. We are big fans of Chocolate Secrets, so it was a delight that you stopped there. My husband started a new tradition last year. At Chocolate Secrets, he gets a box of a variety of their truffles, enough for four each for whomever will be at our house on Christmas Day. After Christmas dinner, we pass the box around and people choose a truffle one at a time to enjoy. The box makes four rounds, and it’s a delightful, fun, and delicious way to end Christmas dinner! Anyway, I have been to Dolly Python and St. Vincent but not Thrift World or Genesis (not sure why - I’ve lived in the Dallas area most of my life). I’m going to check them out! I look forward to more videos!

Thrift world it right around the corner from my job! I didnt really like the St. Vincent, their prices/selection for mens clothes wasnt that good the time I went.

I went to Thrift World and St. Vincent today 😊 I realized as exited the hwy that I have been to that Thrift World just last week for the 1st time. St. Vincent had 50% off furniture today, and I scored an entry/sofa table for $30 and a garden potting table for $12.50! I went to the Thrift World right down the street from St. Vincent and scored a vintage 100% cashmere wool coat for $16 ❤

I’m a pro video editor and I live in Dallas. I love going to thrift and vintage shops. Editing suggestion: clean cuts are much better than all of the wipes. They are very distracting and something we don’t use. If you have to use a transition, can’t go wrong with a dissolve. 👍🏼

I’ve been shopping at Dolly Pythons for 25 years. They always have beautiful real fur and ostrich feathers ❤

I lived in DFW for 30 years and loved thrifting there. You hit some of the great spots in this video! I would also add the Salvation Army on Inwood in the hospital District for great furniture and Metrocrest Thrift in Addison for its curated collections of furniture and clothing. I lived in Carrollton for the last 21 years and heard there were some great spots popping up in Frisco, too, but have not checked them out. We live in Texarkana now and are busy checking out the thrift stores in this area!

Hi new subscriber here from Irving neighbor. I think it would be really helpful for us locals if you'd mention which location you are referring to. For instance you say "Thrift Giant" but there are several in our area. I love the Genesis purpose but it's like shopping retail honestly. Spendy but for a good cause. Out of The Closet is another one along these lines.

While I don’t prefer the plaid woodland for myself, you did such a wonderful job,warm setting. I would love to have Christmas breakfast there!

The first two are my faves in the area too! I had forgotten about Dolly and Genesis, haven’t been there in many years, but will have to check it out.

So many of us have survived by giving and shopping thrift stores. It irks me that now upper class & hipsters are visiting...driving up the "thrift" prices, making it so "happy". BS

I did lots of decor in Dallas and it's so nice to see them moved away from Old World. Mid Century back then would have been a big no. I think you're a gem. So fun so midcentury transitional. Years ago, I lived off Forest Lane. Your moody color in your room is fanastic!!
