Great video, great store! The best thing about Scandinavian MCM is that it's the gift that keeps on giving. Every time you think you've seen it all, you discover something totally new and inspirational. Good to see some classic British pieces mixed in there too, G-Plan and Beithcraft, I believe. And you're right - they really don't make furniture like that anymore. There are people making MCM styled pieces out of solid wood, and there is also a substantial industry of cheap reproductions in generic designs, designed to fool people who don't know any better, but nothing beats the real thing!

Beautiful! I have an obsession with MCM swag lamps. I own 2 beautiful red ones and am looking to add more in my homd, I would love to have an amber glass as well as a jade green. Perhaps cobalt blue one of these days but boy oh boy are they hard to find for less than $300. Tha k you for sharing your adventure with us friend ❤

LOL! THANK YOU! I FINALLY understand the difference. I grew up in the mid-century, so I lived through both styles - but at the time, I didn't know their names. To me, it was all just furniture. And my family home was a hodge-podge of different kinds of furniture, although my parents did try to choose things that would look nice with other things (and they succeeded). As a kid, I would be in the houses of other kids in the neighborhood and in those of relatives. Everyone seemed to have a mix of decors based on things passed on by parents, aunts, uncles - even neighbors. Some of it was Midcentury, some of it was Midcentury Modern, and some of it was even older or of a regional style. Now that I am a senior citizen, I have been trying to create that feeling of places I had seen in my childhood and watched on TV. I realize now that most of it wasn't MCM but was, instead, just Midcentury with a few MCM things and a few other styles. So thank you for clearing up my head, LOL! I finally get it!
