Hello Ali. If you’re looking for work outside of Germany, learning English - or at least using a translator service might help. Also with 2 years of experience I’d be very surprised if you’ve tried and/or know everything about commercial diving. Different places have different techniques, laws, equipment etc - I’m pretty sure you can always learn from other divers. If there’s a lot of work and you’re not getting any offers you might want to change your approach. Write a cv in English and start contacting companies.

We got them from an agricultural company in Nairobi. They’d had them as courier bikes but they stopped using them and they were just sitting in the basement. Had to get a new innertube, petrol cap and a couple of mirrors, changed oil and spark plugs, then we were good to go.

Nope. Been a few years since I did any dive work for them. Did some Bauer and Kirby service the last few years though.

@@allanpedersen9279Iam in Mombasa Kenya ,I have a similar DT 175 and planning to ride to Tanzania ,at the boarder point what documentation did they ask for ?

They asked for bike papers. We told them we needed to bring all papers with us as we would cross back into Kenya at a different border crossing. This could be a problem if you meet the wrong person. For us it was okay.

We bought them 2nd hand. Changed oil and plugs and drove off into the sunset.

Well, there are a few parameters to consider. The weight on the bike, the road condition, terrain, the cruising speed, bike condition, the gearing of the bike etc etc But with a load of about 70 kg, factory gearing, 60-70 km/h cruising on decent - flat - paved roads you should get about 20 km per liter.

I spoke to some people in Cuba about my job - welding underwater. They didn’t know anything about this type of job. But rum, cigars and roast pork they knew.

They were up for it, I didn’t want to push any further as they would’ve hurt themselves coming off at that speed.

Being a diver and being comfortable in the water is a plus, even if they tell you at commercial training academies that it counts for nothing. But it’s a very different line of work to rec. diving

@@allanpedersen9279 bro my deepest dive has been in the great bluehole in belize.. richard branson stayed with us in his bluehole sub experience.. my max depth with air qith no deco in the bluehole is 200 ft.. i would love to be trained for something else than just recreational..

Most of my commercial dives are not deep, max 50 surface supplied, but most construction and ship work is in 15 meters or less. In fact my deepest dive was rec diving when we found an American submarine from WW2 in Thailand back in 2005, 86 meters tec diving as a cameraman

First you have to become a diver. You can find commercial dive academies in France, Norway, England, South Africa etc. After you have done your commercial dive training you can take an underwater welding course in England, Belgium, Thailand etc….. It takes time and cost money.

Dette er i en kaffeplantage uden for Nairobi i Kenya. Vi kørte fra Kenya til Mozambique på denne tur. Er din også en DT ?

@@allanpedersen9279 fedt nok. Det ser ret sjovt ud. Ja det er det, en 1996'er. Har lige fået den synsklar nu her, kan ikke vente med at komme ud og køre på den ⚡

De er udemærket cykler, havde en i Thailand i 97-98, desværre brændte den da min ven lånte den - utæt ved bensinhanen siger han. Vi kørte også 5500 km i Afrika i 2015 uden problemer. Dog lidt nyere modeller.

compared to Yamaha DT175, Honda XL 125 is hopelessly underpowered.

We were looking forn250’s for a 5500 km journey but they were all in bad shape, these two dt’s were in great shape and at a good price as they had been sitting abandoned at a company for about a year. Empty tanks and flat tires etc
