Custom ChatGPT: Based Content Editor
Earlier this year we published a Base Editorial Style Guide on GitHub to help builders better connect with the community by writing with a more based voice (e.g. onchain instead of blockchain, understanding what is Base, what it means to be based, etc.)
Here's a demo of a prototype, custom AI I made out of it as an experiment for some ideas I have with other things; link below if you'd like to try it out -- use at your own risk, DYOR and don't follow its advice ⚠️💀🥀
In the not-so-distant future I think it'd be cool if we could automate over 75% of all questions people have on Base so that when there are things they're wondering, they can get high quality answers on demand, with an experience so good that they would prefer checking w/ AI first rather than waiting for humans
If there was an AI you wish you could chat with about Base, PLMK what questions/topics you would like to be able talk to it about 🙏

What is a BLDR?

We all at some time or another want a TLDR, a BLDR is a quick video showing how to do something on Base without reading the docs. Base: base.org/
I don’t need 32 ETH?
No, this isn't required on Base :)
How much a node like yeld by month?
There are no rewards or incentives for running a node; they're designed for individuals and teams building on top of the network that need to interact with the chain
hello mate. i am not able to run the node like described in this video. can you maybe help me where i stuck? i paid already for the VPS....
Apologies for the delayed reply; I did not see these notifications in TH-cam -- for support please join the #node-operators channel in the Base Discord (base.org/discord); we'll try our best to help you there!
what vps are you using what size ram and ssd?
You'll need one that meets these minimum requirements: github.com/base-org/node?tab=readme-ov-file#hardware-requirements
Thank you! Very helpful.... I will run nodes to try qualifying for their airdrop.
Nevermind, just realized we dont connect our wallet so running a node might not be incentivized
Yes, this is right, apologies if this wasn't clear
Hi Will, thanks for this video, really good. However, my docker-compose.yml file looks totally different to yours. What did you do to get it to look like that - with all the other RPC related info populated? I don't know how to enter my L1 ETH RPC because the docker-compose.yml file looks totally different to yours after installing docker-compose. Any help appreciated! Thanks :)
same issue for me. until this step everything works fine, but i have not the same fields like you to enter my L1 RPC
This is because the requirements have updated for running a node; the latest instructions can be found here: github.com/base-org/node
how did you exit docker-compose.yml after adding your infura url?
Nice video! I’ve run other nodes with the idea of being rewarded later with an airdrop. Since it doesn’t connect to any wallet/address it doesn’t appear this is incentivized which is a bit disappointing
Yes, that's right, these are not incentivized nodes; they're designed for developers who need to interact with the chain
Thanks ❤
