Question: We bought a 2009 HyHi, drives great but then the brakes started lightly "giving out" when I would brake. Not all the way give out but it feels like im braking with air, not fluid. Brake pads are all new, even the actuator looks new itself, or at least new enough/recently installed, so we bled the brakes with the correct tool, clear the codes and itll drive perfect for even a couple days! (We did get a lot of air but one tire in the back will not give us any air. The side switches. Yeah, weve bled the brakes multiple times as a band aid. The fluid was overfull when we bought it too.) Then the issue will start to come back and the abs and other lights come back too. It also makes a weird noise like something is getting stuck briefly when I let off the gas and when im holding the brake at a red light. Its like a squeaky dolphin at the red light, when driving its more like a click/clank. Almost sounds and feels like something is falling off my tire but I know thats not the case. What could be the issue? Any guesses? I know I have to have it serviced but the dealership is playing games with the title so thats why we are doing band aid fixes until we know its ours officially.
@@JamieNotLamie If you purchased your vehicle from a dealer, take it back to them and have it fixed that’s a safety hazard. I would say you can simply gravity bleed the brakes but it sounds like you have a bigger problem that needs to be addressed.
@@ultimatediyguy395 I mean I got the car with a few grand off because we knew it was throwing ABS codes, we made a deal with the dealer. May be taking it back over not getting the title but that's another issue. 🤦♀️ I have an appointment on Monday at the shop already but I'm just trying to figure out what it could be. Making a burning smell too, you can tell they didn't bleed the brakes properly when they refurbed it at the dealer. But bleeding them helps briefly fix it every time. It's been keeping me safe in the meantime. Must be a leak or that one freaking module thing needs to be replaced.
Nice video, great help.
Very good!
I'm giving you a like and comment! My mount just started leaking and I was worried about it being too difficult to replace myself.. but nope this looks awesome thanks man!
what was the reasn for changing transmission mount please???
@@andyparry1509 usually you will notice excessive engine movement when shifting out of park or when you get on the gas
You didnt have to take the throttle body off to get to those coolant line's. You could lift up the top half of the air plenum and unhook them .
My friend, i am having trouble getting the bottom caliper bracket bolt unstuck. I have heated, used and 3/8 and 1/2 impact on it. No luck. Wrench with hammer. There is no rust. Idk what else to do. Top one is loose no problem.
Great video bro!
Excellent. Was going to take it to the mechanic cuz I didn’t want to deal with the liners. It’s a tight fit for those with large hands but totally reachable. Undo the connections before removing the bulbs for a bit more maneuvering I dropped the bulb on the drivers side while removing, there’s a simple 8mm or Phillips screw under the bumper to separate the liner should you need to retrieve it like I did 😊 nice vid my guy saved me time and money, this is what TH-cam is all about 💪🏾.
Tip. Disconnect negative battery terminal first.
The factory service manual says this. I've figured out that it's especially important to do this before you push the caliper pistons in or you'll get various errors.
Did you have to bend the A/C pipe on the driver side where it's U shape to make it open wider? I have the V8 5.7 heavy duty and the fan mounting bracket got stuck at that A/C pipe. Eventually I was able to took the radiator out by moving the whole radiator to the left to go around that U shape pipe, but I'm afraid I could scratch the condenser when putting the new one in.
Got the same code. Engine isnt knocking but its running in limp mode. Not sure if its sensor or needing software update.

@@jdbbs1 I don’t believe so the 2011 is the older generation
For 2011 Remove the three screw/side under the front air dam, then the push pins from the front half of the fender liner(s). With the wheel off, the liner can be curled back and tucked behind the spindle for extra room to access. I have long arms and can reach around the liner by turning the wheel to the opposite side. The Hi-Beams can be changed from under the hood, much like is shown here.
Thanks for the response. What a pain the ass.. I ended up doing all the lights.. took me 2 hrs. I ended up take the wheels off. Dealer wanted $375 per low beam bulb.. with $95 to install. Then he said it could be the ballast, the only way to know is a $195 diagnostic charge!! Over 1k to replace low beams. Not sure why they call them Stealership 😂

You should not use brake cleaner on rubber, plastic, or painted surfaces. It is designed for brake parts and bare metal. WD-40 or silicone based lubricants should be used instead.

Video was right to the point. No bullshit. No pointless story's that have nothing to do with the video because you have some repressed dream of being famous and think it's an audition. If I could criticize one thing it's that there is no chance in hell I would be sitting on my ass with my legs up under the car. I don't care if there's a jack and two stands under it...nope. those little mechanics stools on roller wheels actually work great for break jobs and stuff around that level. I love mine. Plus they have a shelf on the bottom for stuff and your mobile. But he'll...even using a cinder block will give ya someplace to set without putting your legs in danger. Can you imagine if a car fell on the leg, no tire on it, just a bare rotor like a guillotine 😬
