Absolutely. This one was also not in line, and the door was rubbing so a bit more invoked but I know exactly what you mean. I’ve been to many jobs that I’ve used the smallest amount of GT85 on the lock and keep and it’s worked perfectly 👌🏼 Thanks for watching as always 😊🙏🏼

@@brighton_locksmith Not totally sure but I think the steel ball acts as a spring loaded detent on the mechanism. After pressing the handle down and all the locking points retract, they can sometimes move back outwards under gravity, the detent holds them in place. You can open the door and while open the hooks etc fall out again so when you go to shut the door they hit the frame instead. Fuhr used to always install them in the factory but now the gearboxes come without them installed and you have to buy the steel ball, spring and grub screw separately.

Souber Tools multipoint gearbox holders, you can get a single or double version (the one he has), I have them both, work really well. Small magnet on side to hold your screws.

Excellent cheers I probably do 20+ gearboxes a week I’ll check them out 👍🏻

Hi Iain. The basic sizes are 19mm, 22mm and 25mm but they come with the kit when you buy it
