Nicely filmed!
Im looking to buy one of these. Im curious as to how tall are you if you dont mind me asking? I see your knees could be a factor of getting in the way. Thanks
How tall are you?
@@v1flight736 6 feet 2 inches
Never seen it with a radial engine before!
Hi there! Just dscovered your channel, I love the long distance travels you do. Why did you stop posting 3 years ago? Happy landings!
We just found your adorable, exciting videos! So beautiful, the mountains, seas, landscape are so amazing. Wishing for more of your videos on the horizon! We just bought a CTLS plane. We hope to have some beautiful excursions in America soon. Love your videos.
Your vidéo are fantastiques
I've always loved the look of a kitfox. What's it like to land? (ground loops, round out etc).
I was under the impression these were VFR only? I am interested in buying one in about 2 years.
Enjoy!
They are VFR only. He might have gotten into trouble had he flown like this in the States.
How long did the flight from uk to Morocco take?
Hi Stuart, thank you for your interest. I don’t really remember but you could do it in two days if you wanted?? Hal (1300nm @ 100kts = 13hrs Flt tm)
What a beauty 🥲
2 years later, license in the bag and she’s mine 😅
It looks like the EGTs might be a little high. What do you normally see for EGT readings?
Looks like an awful lot of fun for £15K!!
Agreed!!.. it’s got to be the most fun per pound out there
You mentioned the ivo prop, I have one on an Avidflyer, with a 582. it’s the 72” dia, just wondering what your thoughts are for cutting it down a bit? At the mo I’m getting about 6200rpm full power.
Talk to Graham slater at GS aviation. The main thing is to make sure the tips don’t go supersonic! I chopped mine down just to get more ground clearance. Obviously it will need approval either way
nice flying! 👌👍
I start my lesons 11 JUne and this is my reason I want to travel thank you for showing the way
This is fantastic news!.. this is pretty much my dream when sharing our flights. So glad to inspire you and enjoy your training 👍
Hello. I want to attempt something similar. Would you be so kind to reach out so I can learn the process involved?
Nice trip!!! do you have send your CT? no more trip?
How come you fly from the left hand seat Hal
Sorry right hand seat
Deniability! 😉 (and because I’m an instructor and you just get used to using the same door)
Just rewatched all the videos again! Even after lockdown you've got us planning our trips in the Skyranger Still can't belive you did the trip back from Bosnia in a day, phenomenal 👏 truly phenomenal that both of you
Aww, that’s very kind and much appreciated.. I own a Skyranger and one of my ex students did a 2000 mile trip up to Norway a couple of years ago!
@@v1flight736 Norway, that has to be fun! We have the idea of following your lead and heading south. The further south the less clothes we need (and the less weight) is the logic. Just need a roof rack for the wife's makeup and we are sorted 😀
Ur welcome to morocco ❤️
Wicked 👍
So jealous of you
Still offering the full package at £4k ??
what was the landing fee? I'm guessing over £100
Not much, 25 euros or so I’m guessing
Looking to get my nppl, perhaps with you. I see you offer a full package with accommodation. How does this work?
Just give me a call on 07797 172963 and we can discuss! 👍👌
I watched your 2017 trip in the ct2k, also read the accident report on that plane, sad times. Sorry to hear it. I notice this ctsw is 2008 model, is that correct? I'd like to ask a cheecky question, ball park figure how much should I be looking to pay to buy a similar age/hours ect?
Hello. The video is very inspiring. I have been flying myself for about 12 years, but have not yet crossed the national borders. I find the flights to the Mediterranean very exciting. Do you have any other flights planned? Where do you get all the information for the other countries? Should you ever be looking for a wingman (my wife and me), please feel free to contact me. We would be glad. Greets from Germany. Kai (info@sv-koop.de)
Hello V1. Could you contact me about flying abroad. I have a Ikarus C42 and a TH-cam channel and would like to ask about your trips. Kindest regards Jeff. P.S my email address is on my about page on my channel.
great video, thanks for the fly along view point.
Lovely!! Where are you based? :)
Fantastic video you 2. I’d seen one of you other videos a few years ago and thought that was amazing. You really do need to make more content. Keep up the good work and all the best.
Hey V1 flight. Can you confirm if this aircraft can be flown by a holder of an NPPL(M) licence? Many thanks :)
Correct!! I hope I settled an argument 😉 If you want training get in touch 👍👌
@@v1flight736 Thanks so much for your response. I'm already 9h into my NPPL training. I'm just curious of alternatives to the Ikarus C42 :)
Great video, is that your own plane or a syndicate?
Great flying and landing
Awesome, do you need to have a licence to fly this aircraft?
Not until you get caught
Wonderful plane
How long was this trip? Very nice! Love my Flight Design CTsw, N293CT.
Hi Done, we went for two weeks but came home a couple of days early to surprise the dog!
Amazing.
Wonderful and inspiring video. I fly a CT2SW in Stockholm but I never flew outside of Sweden.
Looks amazing. Would prefer far less of the music and have a nice detailed commentary instead.
Copied and understood.. thank you for your feedback
Great adventure, thanks for sharing
These are great little planes, mine is in storage as I’m working abroad for a few years but will be looking at a rebuild for piece of mind in he future. Where do you fly out of? Do you still have it?
do you do any videos without music?
Volumen makes wonders lol
И я люблю Китфокс.
This is truly stunning, Hal. I can't wait to start my lessons!
Hi, just found your channel by chance and have to say I really enjoyed the vid. What an experience to share with us all. When you landed in Massa, was it at Sarzana or Massa Cinquale? My parents live close by so would love to plan a trip there one day in the future once I've got my licence and some experience. Out of interest, how long does it take from your home field to Massa? Thanks again and shall watch your other vids. Regards.
Hi Taxi, it was Massa Cinquale, not sure how long it took us but basically it’s a good couple of days, day from England across France, then France to Massa.. three days if you go through the Alps, it needs to be savoured 😉
Superb video again, we (my wife and me) have been thinking you'd not done it this year, glad to see we were wrong. I first noticed your videos a couple of years ago and it inspired me to take up the sport, I kid you not! We have an intention of following in your footsteps as soon as I pass my GST. You're also probably responsible for the purchase of the new Skyranger (2nd one now), so thanks for the massive hole in my finances :-) A quick question, given that you are travelling for some distance with limited luggage and weight. What do you take with you for this sort of trip and how long did it last? Survival suits? Tents? Oxygen for the alps? Hope to see you in the sky Garry
Garry that’s absolutely fantastic to hear and pretty much the most significant reason for us sharing our adventures!! 👌 I’ve spent all day flying a Skyranger and it’s an aircraft that will look after you well and would be capable of retracing all our footsteps when you feel the need to head off on adventures of your own! Take a tent, lightweight sleeping bags, a couple of life jackets, PLB and your all set. For crossings over 40 miles or so consider a survival suit but it will come at a weight penalty and hamper evacuation in case of a ditching. I choose not to use one for this reason.
@@v1flight736 Just to let you know I have now put my first video up myself now after passing my final GST in January. Its not perfect and its not commercial but just in case you fancy viewing it, we made up a different channel for it "Flying Adventures" th-cam.com/video/VWQW3zO0t4o/w-d-xo.html
