มุมมอง 2.7K6 ปีที่แล้ว
The FA Cup is arguably the best and most famous domestic club competition in football today. Since starting in 1871, we have seen on multiple occasions, lower league sides going toe to toe with some of the biggest teams in football and even win on some occasions. Stourbridge FC, based in the West Midlands, is one of the oldest clubs in England and they have a long, storied history in the game. ...

loved that ossie season, proper football them days, poor facilities, small grounds but what a journey, i think we scored over 100 goals that season with cup results

This is where my journey began (1993 at home to Forest as it happens.) 30 years later and two Wembley visits later. No cups and a lot of annoyance (i've loved it still)

Didnt Glasgow Rangers absolutely humiliate and humble the Champions of England back in 92 in the first ever Champions League. Leeds utd Cheerishing European football he said. European dream he said. Leeds get knocked out in the qualifying round without winning and a Scottish side remained unbeaten and were a goal away from the first ever Champions League final 🤣😂😂😂

Wouldn’t give a kings ransom for those years , what spoiled it for me was when we got in the greed league , constant struggle just to stay up , never trying in cup matches and the final nail seeing them kneeling for BLM .

So typical of leeds to get Cantona the best player in Europe at that time and then sell him for peanuts to their hated rivals the scum .

Never heard more noise at Elland Road than when wee Gordon scored against Leicester' also do people realise that the last English manager to win the top league in England was Sargent Wilko at Leeds.

Oxford away was the real turning point. The narrator mentions we'd gone two games previously without scoring. The jitters seemed to be setting in. But what's not mentioned is we were 2-0 down at half time in that Oxford match. At home with the radio I thought we'd blown it. But that turnaround gave the team confidence and from there we never really looked back. (Except for Barnsley home... the bastards)

Some of the results are incorrect such as it was 2-1 at home to Middlesbrough not 1-0 and 1-0 at home to Newcastle not 2-0 , and when chasing the last league championship before the premier League Brian Moore states that it's the premier League they are challenging for , pretty awful dubbed on commentary as well , "contonah!" Who the fck is that? Oh you mean cantona 🙄 great times though MOT

Even though we had a poor team in the 90's compared to these days, it's the era I had the best memories. I was 18 in 1989 and first started going to games with mates. Good days even if the football wasn't the best.

One of the great management achievements from Wilkinson. I guess we don't hear about his bad buys but it seemed like he made a lot of inspired recruitment choices. I would say the Sheffield United manager, Chris Wilder or Nuno Espirito Santo have done similar things but you just can't win the league these days by being brilliant as a manager without the bottomless pockets of Man City, Chelsea etc.
