I would prefer Behringer to produce a complete JP8000. Otherwise, it's a bit of a shame with so many functions neutered

Strictly speaking, you need to have at least two or more machines to achieve 80% of the original factory's efficiency. Having just one machine is insufficient.

@@wreignone ROLAND JP has become an irreplaceable king. This is also the kind of artistic beauty that VIRUS TI cannot replace. For trance, I still recommend JP8000... Unfortunately, it's too expensive.

From a music production perspective, the sound does not fit into a modern context. Viewed from an instrumental perspective, it is a fairly decent clone-an inexpensive synthesizer with analog sound capabilities. If not making music, it actually doesn't matter.

@@nickkositsyn4597 As a music producer myself, I would recommend software VSTs like DSP56300, ADAM VIPER, Sylenth1, Spire, and Serum. If you need powerful tones, then using ROLAND JP8000 or VIRUS TI is essential. In terms of adjustments and multitasking, software options are more convenient. However, if music production isn't your main focus, any of these options would suffice for purchase.

@@BassFatCat yes, the newest OsTirus version sounds pretty good for me. But the jt4000 stays almost without usage . That’s why I’m wondering about this synth in video;)

My DAW only supports MIDI transmission, and I haven't used a recording interface or any DAW effects. This way, the testing is more impartial. All adjustments are made using Pro mini without any external effects. Thank you~ @@maciekzasada4593

The most representative sound of TRANCE belongs to none other.

The sound of the JT4000 engine is truly solid. Unfortunately, too many features have been neutered, resulting in only half of its functionality being available.

Sorry, this was owned ten years ago. It has been sold for quite some time now. I would recommend using the EMU56300 B&C ROM to recreate the related tones. Thank you~
