In Verbal, when there are so many words thrown at you over the course of the section, it can be very useful to be able to deci...

Free GMAT Prep Hour: A New Way to Drill Reading Comprehension?
Hi, I went as far as factoring the numbers but got confused at the last step. Where did the 14x15 and 5x6x7 come from?
Crazy content and explanation guys👏
hey so my question is i have no knowledge of math and other subject can i still follow your course if yes pls tell me i want to write in march ? and i took gmat test i got zero
Hi, Syed. Thanks for your interest. We'd be happy to help. Since there isn't a private Channel here on YT, feel free to shoot us an email at kaplansocial@kaplan.com or to reach out via chat at the bottom-right of the main page (below) and we can get you connected to one of our expert advisors for support. www.manhattanprep.com/gmat/
Dont know if you guys are still replying, but am I silly to have thought what they mean in this question is: suppose for the 3rd week, you would add current week+last week sum+ the first week sum. And i continued this till the end and made a huge mess. Is this not a way to interpret this one?
Thanks!
You're so very welcome, Joseph!
Amazing video, really help to enhance my concepts !!
Thank you so much, Ansh! 😊 We're happy that the concepts presented were beneficial to you!
How does one integrate all these videos into a coherent study plan?
Hi, Joseph! Thanks for your question! Our TH-cam videos are meant to supplement whatever program you're using to study-for example, you can search the videos for specific topics or question types to get extra help on areas that are giving you trouble. They can't substitute for a complete study plan. If you're looking for a complete study plan, I'd start by signing up for our Free GMAT Starter Kit on our website ( www.kaptest.com/gmat/free/gmat-practice ). That will give you access to more free study material and also explain how the different comprehensive (and paid) study plans work, including the opportunity for some free trials of some of the programs. (In general, if you want a comprehensive study plan that's actually effective...it's going to cost some money. It takes a huge amount of time and expertise to build an effective learning program. At least it'll be a lot less expensive than business school itself. ☺️)
Good to see a video going back to basics and slowly working through the skillset
Explained the basics very well
You're another level🎉
Really clearly explained and shown from the basics up
for the 2nd last question, the 'x-1' column, don't all values have to align. Here, only 2 are divisible by 5. Why aren't we considering the rest. Thanks so much, Whitney!! Always look forward to your sessions.
Great questions! You are exactly right that since the question states that 3x+2 must be divisible by 5, every answer that would be "legal" would have to abide by that. So the table was trying every value of x until we found a couple that worked for all constraints - hence the fact that we only finished testing the problem with those two values. We had to throw out any values of x that wouldn’t make 3x + 2 divisible by 5! Hope this helps!
Where can we join live for the future?

Thanks a lot Reed. This video helped me to finalize an approach to handling RC questions!
You're so very welcome! We're glad the material has been beneficial to you.
love you
Hi Jeff - For the rearrange LIVER problem, do we subtract 1 to account for re-arrangement? I.e. considering only the values other than LIVER?
For finding LCM, at 13:20 you mentioned multiply all the factors 2x2x5x2x2x5x3x3, which equals 3600. However, the LCM is 36000. Can you explain what I am missing ? Thanks.
Nice catch! It isn't what you're missing, but what I was missing! If you notice, I factored 4000 into 4 and 100 instead of 4 and 1000 - there should have been another 10 in there! It doesn't change the GCF because the 180 doesn't have another 2 or 5 to overlap, BUT it does add an extra 2 and 5 into the leftmost area of the 4000 circle AND it gives the LCM another 0 so that the correct LCM (as you point out) is 36000! Thank you so much for catching that!
Thx !
You're so very welcome!
Thanks ! Got 3/5 answers correct !
hello sir! In question 3...we assumed the intersection to be zero. The question says atleast one of the two session which means it can be more than 1. So in such a case if intersection is not zero we get diff value. Can you explain this please!
You are a very very very good tutor Whitney. Thank you so much for the simplified tuition.
The speaker’s window is partially covering the questions.
Hi Reed, I am Dinesh, We met through GMAt club (dcoolguy-my username) and you gave me a free Verbal tutorial lecture for an hour. It was very helpful. I did not take GMAT but I did take GRE, and It helped me to get into Engineering Program of the Penn State University, PA, USA. Thank you very much.
why does he write 2 10 18 26 34 on the bottom of the whiteboard? amazing content thanks!
To keep track of timing I believe
These are very basic questions though. I am not sure if they would come in the gmat exams
Are quant DS of the past basically the same as the DS under the data insight section? Thanks

Can you please provide the link for the time strategy article mentioned in the video ?
40:45 Why don’t we test the following case while considering both 1 & 2 together :- CF____ : yes C is top most AFEC___: No C is not top most Since we don’t get a DEFINITIVE answer, therefore C is not sufficient. AFEC… follows both the rules.
Question 6 From statement 1 X-3 = (odd)^2 X= odd^2+3 X= Even From statement 2 X= multiple of 3 Combining the both, X = even multiple of 3 X=6,12,18,24,30 Shouldn’t it be E ?
Hello, i wanted to know if i buy the gmat on demand course, do i get reed arnold videoos in the on demand videos, can i choose the instructor to be reed?
This session was just amazing and PERFECT
Good session
Thanks Whitney and Manhattan Prep for such a wonderful session ! By the blessings of all the Gods, I was able to solve all the questions on my own.
These videos are amazing!
Hey, can I only download these books if I have a kindle? Is there any other way to download it?
I think S is already negative, so you would add S instead of subtracting if that makes any sense
for the student and faculty problem
Thanks Manhattan Prep and Whitney for the excellent session ! All the questions were cakewalk for me, except the penultimate one, which took a lot of time, as I was solving TPA for the first time. So, it took me a while to get a hang of it.
How do we know what the answers were…?
Bro you too getting wrong I thought I was the only who miss one or two
Happy to know that I am able to solve these problems without much of a hassle. I would really like to thank Manhattan Prep for the amazing material they provide for the GMAT. Thank you very much 🙂
You are so very welcome! We're happy to hear that the material has been beneficial to you.
Very well explained ! thanks a lot for making these available on TH-cam :)
Thank you Jeff for this great video. The questions about averaging pace confuse me so much, aren't speeds supposed to be in miles/min rather than minutes/mile? Also is there anything as such as averaging time/distance? You were basically averaging time and taking distances as your weights. I have solved those questions unsing the average speed formula (total distance/total time) and got the same answer, which made more sense to me. Thank you again for the great prep hours.
Aren’t these questions extremely rare in GMAT ?
Thanks Whitney and thanks Manhattan Prep !
You're very welcome! 😊
Thanks Manhattan Prep and Whitney ! The questions were easy.
49:33 from where did 9 came ?
